Interestingly in the Sauce article on afl.com.au it mentions Ricky Henderson needs to play 5 games to trigger a contract for next year. If he stays fit he will manage that comfortably.

I wonder if he can decline that contract and sign elsewhere as a free agent if he desires? Or if its an automatic rollover.

That's a disappointingly small number. Might need to move him on to free up a spot on our list

He can decline. Nicky Dal declined a trigger to move.

Nope ....another midget :p ......speedy player, but honestly he again is not the type of player we need

Prestia is a line breaker ......we fixed up that deficiency already at the trade & draft table
Huh? He's actually the complete opposite. Prestia is inside contested machine, they don't call him then meatball over there for nothing! He is also very adept on the outside with great skills as it happens. Perfect fit for our midfield, why in the world you wouldn't want to target him is beyond me.

The fact that you think he is a "line breaker" and that we have enough of them already, really has me questioning you're judgement and why you are making such ridiculous calls if you don't know? Prestia is nothing like Smith/Seedsman/Henderson etc in the slightest.

Another player that doesn't run both ways, just what we need....NOT...

Great offensive player but any defensive actions are absolutely foreign to him, just not in his DNA...highly doubt Pykey would be interested in Dustin with his "team" ethos.

That's the whole thing really - he can win contested ball and that is his main strength but also break lines . I'd say hats a positive not a negative . The more traits you have the better in my book

Plenty of height with our flankers and wings . Not lacking contested marking options up forward

Can't see a problem

Already enough line breakers? So if Dangerfield was available we wouldn'ttake him?

I think we can do with more contested marking fwd options. We have JJ, Tex is not strong in this area, Gov has potential but we fall off from there.

The thing with trading in players is that it's not like going to a nice retail store where you just waltz in and order exactly what design you want, at the exact size, for the exact price you want to pay.

I imagine its really more like a Sunday morning trash and treasure stall. Youre not really sure what you're going to find, and you have to sort through what's there to find what fits - sometimes there might be something you weren't really looking for or don't even really need, but you can't ignore the quality. Or someone's junk might be you're treasure, you just have a bit more imagination.

So maybe a 185cm mid might be perfect, but maybe a 175cm mid is all that's sitting on the table. As long as they work, does it really matter?

It's really about what's there, what's available, and what you can make of it.

Jack Steele would be top of my shopping list, pick 24 2014 draft to GWS, Canberra lad so no Victorian go home factor, 187cm 86Kg, not yet a big reputation, tough/hard at it, inside/outside mid that can play forward too...kid is a future gun in waiting. Would gladly give our 1st for him next draft.

But they don't have to be midfielders resting there , agree with your point though

I still think Jenkins is the weakest link, although the way tex is playing he's not far off but will come good . Alot has happened in his life including losing his father figure and 2 best mates from the club leaving in a different way
