I was replying to a poster saying Deledio would be free in our midfield and not have expectations on him. The last time I looked Deledio was playing on the HBF. He may have been moved back into their midfield.
Anyway my point is simple we said all Tambling needed to shine was to be free of expectations. This is what the poster said about Deledio. For mine he is too old and injured too often. Tambling did play over 100 games so he wasn't a complete hack.
Deledio is the much better player though. Richmond never seem to get the most out the players they draft.
pretty sure Deledio has played mostly that high half forward role the last 2-3 seasons

Realistically there does not seem to be a big fish that Adelaide could attract. I wouldn't mind Prestia but problem with Victorians is they seem to think they are too good to come Adelaide. I wouldn't mind having a big crack at omeaer, with all the inside grunt of crouch sloane Lyons crouch, the outside polish of omeaer at rat would compliment our midfield for years to come

Not sure we need another one-paced accumulator in our midfield. I think we've got that covered at the moment.

Someone like O'Meara would be a better fit methinks.
Still yet to appear in the AFL or NEAFL........

2016 Digest: Star young midfielder missed all of 2015 with a ruptured patella tendon. Yet to rejoin full training but is ahead of schedule and the club hopes he will be fit for the start of the season.

2016 NAB Cup: Will miss the first part of the season after undergoing another minor operation on his knee.

What has been wrong with his knee this year? Should make him a cheap trade!

Preferred backline (if we can get Hurley, who knows if it will happen) is this, eventually:

Brown Talia Lever
DOEDEE Hurley Laird

A lot of players with equally good offensive attributes as well as defensive ones.
If we get Hurley as a delisted player, it would mean moving in hartigan.

Tough decision as I have been a Kyle supporter, but it's an upgrade that allows us to get draft picks.

Hurley is at 193 not taller than.

Stating that a defence structured that way would be destroyed is ridiculous and shows little or no understanding of Hurleys capabilities. He is an attacking, running defender who has more in common with Brodie Smith than he does with either Harto or DT.

Brown and Laird are ample coverage for small forwards.

As an example Hawks run 3 players at 190 or over as permanent forwards + 2 ruckman rotating through, and they are surely the benchmark.

In any event Hurley is quick enough and agile enough to take anyone 185 and up, but his real worth will be having lock down key defenders to free him up and create.
I agree with Kristof

Playing Talia, hartigan, Hurley & lever is a tall too many.

If we get Hurley, it means trading hartigan.

As I posted during the game on Thursday, I have been told at the footy from a very reliable source that Jenkins has signed with the club. I did not get into the details of term and money but was told that he has signed.

Club is always strategic with when they announce these things so I have no idea when it will be announced but he has signed. I have no reason to doubt my source as has never been wrong in the past.
Thanks stiffy!

Never in doubt imo.

Afc want to keep jj & jj wants to stay.

Simples...

Wow!

Offer him a decent long term deal as just what we need!
DEFINITE NO!!!!!!! .......IMO a disruptive influence within the team / club ....read this and see if you agree / disagree

Rockliff has a year to run on his existing deal, but his manager approached the club earlier in the year after Daniel Rich and Dayne Zorko were given lucrative long-term extensions, looking for a new five year deal, believed to be worth about $4 million.

But Brisbane baulked at the price and when negotiations stalled Rockliff became frustrated and withdrew his proposal.
