Cannot believe what I just read, 3 out of those 4 trades we'd lose out... Disgusting

I've seen a couple of Horlin-Smith's VFL games this year, we really don't want him anymore, ordinary pace and just does not get involved enough.....I reckon Geelong would jump at that as I reckon they will probably want to move GHS on. The Geelong player I would target, Motlop aside is Billy Smedts, in and out of their side and unable to cement a permanent spot, he does have genuine pace and IMO far more upside than GHS.

Firstly...
I think Horlin-Smith is a very serviceable player and would be a nice pick up but only with a first round pick that's a loss for us, add a second round pick then it's looking somewhat even.

Secondly...
This is the trade I believe we may win with, getting with of Wright would be amazing although losing ROB isn't the best thing for our depth but risks have to be taken to acquire something with the upside like Carlisle.

Thirdly...
Yarran shows plenty of upside at times and has what we need in speed and most of the time above average ball use but his last season or two has been shocking with the Blues. Don't get me wrong I think Hendo might as well go as he's similar to Wright in the dead weight category then Lyons who I reckon once he's given the opportunity at another club will kill it just as Gunston did with Hawthorn. 50/50 this one but no definites

Now finally this one pissed me off, Scharenberg is touted as a future gun. But in saying that he's played 1 game with a maximum of 6 by seasons out, so he's lost plenty and plenty of value. Kerridge has shown plenty of promise for a former top 30 pick but at least he's proven at the top level despite an injury riddled season. That draft pick Geelong would give us would be between 8-12 so effectively basically where Scharenberg was picked up 2 years prior after losing some value then we give up Kerridge too? Massive loss... Kerridge for Scharenberg then say a late exchange in picks where we give one slightly higher and get one slightly lower to make them happy would be closer to the mark.

In this case we would actually give up more for scharenberg than we get for dangerfield

I like the sound of Dixon and JJ. Imagine a forward line of Tex, JJ, Dixon with Eddie and Charlie nipping around. How many of them are capable of kicking a bag? All of them. Who ever gets a chop out in ruck leaves a tall up forward and rest sauce down back where he can help block that high kick into the oppositions 50, where we have been out marked in many games by resting rucks. Add a couple of outside runners.....

I'd go back and have a good hard think.

Jeeeeeepers. Couldn't throw in Sloaney as a sweetener in any of those deals?

FWIW, on KB's show this morning he and Greg Denham (?) not sure who he had on at the time, were discussing player movements and basically said that the word was that Scharenberg was strongly rumoured to be leaving Collingwood and that Adelaide was right into him.
Someone on the Danger thread just said on SEN they mentioned he looked like going to Adelaide but now looks like he will stay..was it sen you heard this on?

Well now that you can trade future draft picks, you can pretty much scrap every single little thing in this thread and start aaaaaall over again.

Cue some of the most long and elaborate, but still horrendously shit trade suggestions... *sigh*

Saw this on the afl trade radio fb page about the rules for trading future picks.
- Clubs will be permitted to trade one year into the future only
- Clubs must make at least two round 1 picks in any four-year period
- If a club trades its round 1 pick, it may not trade any future pick for that same draft OR the club may keep the round 1 future pick and trade later round picks.
