Should we try and trade someone for Troy Menzel?

Looks out of favour at Carlton and would add something to out forward line.

FF: Betts - Walker - Menzel
HF: Cameron - Jenkins - Lynch
Would love menzel at the AFC. As for scharenberg, if he is as good as some say he is, i wouldn't hesitate giving up our 1st rounder for him.

Nothing to take from Hendo singing the song, he had a channel 7 camera pointed at his face, that changes the way people behave, especially for an introverted player like Hendo. Pretty sure he signed a 2 year deal last year as well.
Hendo wont be traded

those who are suggesting that he will seek a return home well this is a 18 month old story which ended last year when he signed a new deal

Wright for Menzel would be a massive dream, but in reality, I feel we would need to ude someone like Kerridge.

What about Kruezer to help Sauce out. Free agent and Carlton would let him walk to get the compo. Much cheaper than Dixon and a better ruck. Injuries the obvious concern.

Menzel would cost a first rounder but would love him. Yarren a second rounder or Kerridge.

So, realistically who are we willing to have traded that holds some currency? Wright and Dmac would be lucky to garner 3rd rounders, we wont trade VB. Should CEY Grigg and Kerridge be looking for opportunities elsewhere? Personally I am willing to let Kedge go for a second round pick and Hendo as part of a trade to the Pies for Scharenberg. Want CEY and Grigg to stay.

Would kreuzer add to our team much more than Jenkins? Still injury prone too.

Yarran would cost less than menzel & more of a need imo.

Personally we should be trading a surplus inside midfielder & keeping our utility types like kerridge unless we get a player of greater need.

No way I'm saying get rid of Jenkins he has been fantastic. With 4 on the interchange next year and no sub teams can play 2 rucks. Frees up Jenkins to be a pure forward.

Agree with you Yarren is our best option from Carlton.

That's why list management is so difficult. Guess I rate our inside mids more than our utility types. Our mid surplus are all guys with good footy brains, always hate losing natural footballers.

Need to give up something good to get something good.

Trades should be used to address the list balance.

We would be better off with another decent outside player for an inside player who is stuck in the Sanfl.

What inside mid would you trade then? Agree in 95% of cases you get quality by trading quality.

My Uncle used to coach Torrens and he reckons the Crows are 4/5 players away from being really good and I couldn't agree more. Get rid of VB, Wright, McKay, Henderson and replace them with much better players and we'll be humming along very nicely. We have to take a really aggressive approach and replace all these spuds in the offseason otherwise we're just going to spin out wheels for another year.

Did you watch Henderson's game last night? he showed in the right role he is a damaging footballer.

Are you also going to be voting for the navy blue clash jumper for next year?

I would rather we delist spuds and choose players thru draft than lose either of those. Maybe Lyons but only if we got better value in trade say a straight swap for yarren.
That's the issue.

Our side would be better off with a yarran type if it meant losing say cey type as we have inside mids wasting in the Sanfl.

Need to give up value to get what we need.

Cey offers something we don't have esp if we lose Danger, a big body tall mid. So if we trade out an inside mid it has to be someone else. But who?
