How will Yarran and Menzel.come cheap?

Both are contracted players, Carlton will state that they are required and regardless of being dropped both have obvious talents

They will not come cheap, Carlton's strategy is to load up on high picks and that's what they will be demanding
I'm not arguing that these players will come for a mere 3rd round pick or something of that like, but both Yarran and Menzel appear to have become very disillusioned with life at the Blues and will be asking to leave.

My point was directed to the fact that how often are players of their ability on the market and willing to be traded for discount on their proper value.

His endurance when fully fit is elite, that's one facet he is definitely not stock standard, his disposal by foot is pretty bloody good too.....his main problem is getting fit and staying injury free.
Trouble is endurance means nothing on its own, otherwise why do we not have 10-20 kenyan's playing in the AFL?

Hi I'm Mattrox , I talk down on every person on this forum even though my musings make no sense and are general garbage.

Opinions can be right and wrong. If my opinion was that the sun rose in the west, thats wrong.
If my opinion was Kerridge is a better talent than Menzel, my opinion is wrong.

The question for me is; will Menzel actually stay on the park?

Is it worth losing Kerridge for a player with serious a question mark regarding his knees?

That's what needs to be weighed up. Someone who thinks Kerridge will have a better career based on Menzel's injury history on balance is hardly being a "fanboi".

Dude shut up with your Kerridge stuff.
We get it you think hes a gun...he runs hard but cant kick.

Menzel is a far better prospect, take your blue red and gold glasses off.
And I say his disposal by foot is good, my opinion, you need to take heed of your own mantra re opinions.

I don't own any glasses, and I'm far from biased or one eyed. There's plenty of players on our list I don't rate, don't like or simply can't play footy "dude".

Don't know if this has spoken about, but saw his name yesterday when reading about the Adcock stuff.
Could we have a shot at Redden if Danger goes? A first-rounder from the compo should do it if he wants to come home.

I'd have him....and in a 'winning' side he'd possibly go to the next level.

Well your view of kerridge is one eyed.
There are reasons he isnt in the side or even on the edge.

So if Collingwood trade away this year and next years first rounders, what happens if a father son pops up? Might they only have to use a second rounder for a gun?
I actually asked this question of Emma Quayle yesterday. She said in that case they would have to forego the F/S/academy player (I assume if it they were bid upon in the first round by another team).

This would make a lot of sense if Menzel hadn't played 10 more games than Kerridge in a career that started a year later.

So coz a guys had a knee reco his talent or ability is reduced?

Better tell that to the guys that drafted Lever...oh wait that was us.

better get rid of Tex too.
Whilst I don't think it's a massive deal that he's had a reco as it was 4-5 years ago now I think the main concern is the fact it was a LARS which means there is quite a big chance it will need another reco before his career is through, bloody good player though!

I see what you're saying. The LARS seems to be a short term fix rather than a long term option, but even so, getting the lars replaced and back to footy is only 6-8 weeks not 12 months.

From the 2013 AFL injury report: it is not yet valid to statistically analyse failure rates of LARS reconstructions compared to traditional (autograft) reconstructions.

Redden has gone downhill, doesn't have enough impact.

Needs a change of scenery.
Agreed! He's really stagnated as a player.

His first couple of seasons he and Rockliff were the shining young lights of the Brisbane midfield but Rockliff has kept improving whereas Redden has drifted into the Farren Ray anonymous, impactless midfielder territory.

He'll finish a game with 20 touches and you cannot remember a single one of them.
