Agreed! He's really stagnated as a player.

His first couple of seasons he and Rockliff were the shining young lights of the Brisbane midfield but Rockliff has kept improving whereas Redden has drifted into the Farren Ray anonymous, impactless midfielder territory.

He'll finish a game with 20 touches and you cannot remember a single one of them.
So very, very true. The touches that he does get (those that I can remember) are often handballs in short or kicks backwards and sideways. Cannot remember the last time I have seen him drive the ball in to the 50 or try and break the lines.

Having said all that, would love him at the Crows and think he can improve here.

Hope he dosent have the work ethic of his brother or he will probably have a similar impact as Tom had at the AFC.

Dude shut up with your Kerridge stuff.
We get it you think hes a gun...he runs hard but cant kick.

Menzel is a far better prospect, take your blue red and gold glasses off.
Bullshit - Kerridge is a decent kick.

What games do you watch?

Hi I'm Mattrox , I talk down on every person on this forum even though my musings make no sense and are general garbage.

Opinions can be right and wrong. If my opinion was that the sun rose in the west, thats wrong.
If my opinion was Kerridge is a better talent than Menzel, my opinion is wrong.
Menzel & Kerridge are different types of players.

IMO, there would not be much difference in their trade value.

The irony of your post.

Don't know if this has spoken about, but saw his name yesterday when reading about the Adcock stuff.
Could we have a shot at Redden if Danger goes? A first-rounder from the compo should do it if he wants to come home.

I'd have him....and in a 'winning' side he'd possibly go to the next level.
I don't see Redden as a player of need.

Talls - Walker, Jenkins
Mediums - Lynch, Menzel
Smalls - Betts, Cameron

That would be almost the perfectly balanced forward line
Not really, need to have at least 1 spot for midfield rotations, particularly if the interchange cap is reduced.

If we traded Lynch with the interest interstate, then I would be all over Menzel.

I would say that a player like Menzel would be in demand at 18 clubs.
Kerridge nowhere near as many. He's a vanilla player, nothing other than his tank is outstanding.

There's always at least one on the bench plus Jenkins rucks at times

Tell that to Brad Scott and North Melbourne, I'm sure they'll disagree..:)

I honestly remember reading somewhere (I thought it was here) that crows were going after him. Probsbly just one of many many clubs doing their due diligence
I think we can all hope, but I'd say Treloar would be headed to melbourne for sure (the city not the team)

Which inside midfielders that you guys have could be traded out?
I'm just asking as I know your club seems to have a overstock of quality inside mids and Richmond has barely any ha

Guys like Lyons, Grigg, Kerridge, CEY and Atkins are all on the borderline of our best 22, trapped behind guys like Danger, Thompson, B.Crouch and Sloane.

I can see us being willing to part with 1 or 2 of them. I'd suggest Lyons would be most likely to perhaps leave of those guys.

I reckon Kerridge then Lyons. Although Lyons is more of the natural inside clearance mid than Kerridge.

Pure Inside you'd look at Lyons or Ellis-Yolman
We cant afford to lose Atkins at this stage. too much work has gone into him, plus he's more of an outside player.

Kerridge is a mix of inside/outside and would probably be looking for a new home come seasons end.

What do you think would be fair compensation for those players if they were on the way out?

Difficult without knowing what richmond are offering.
But you'd think Lyons would attract 2nd round pick territory or a similar type fringe player.
Grigg and Kerridge similar. They're all good enough for AFL but just find themselves as depth with our current midfield.

I'd hope we keep Grigg, but dont mind losing one or both of Lyons and Kedge
