So surely we'd have a couple other players on the chopping block or trade bait seen as we only have 2 current national draft positions? Or am I wrong and it's 3 including Danger? I can only think of Kelly and O'Brien as the two who'll be upgraded.

I'm not sure what the process is but we can still delist more player(s) can't we? Word is Shaw is about to sign a two year deal very similar to Otten.

You'd think one if not a couple of this list would be traded or delisted if a home isn't found but I'm more than confident if need be they'd all find another club even if that's as a rookie. Not saying I want them gone, especially not the first 3 but aren't signed up yet and not getting consistent games except Wright -

Grigg
Kerridge
CEY
Wright
Shaw

Thoughts of what'll happen between now and the rookie draft?
Yes. The club posted the important dates on the site. Tells us on there when the 3 list lodgements are.

Dustin Martin knows a thing or two about getting second chances. Would probably be able to teach him a thing or two and it looks Martin has cleaned up his act.

Would think not having a coach wouldn't be helping us in both luring talent and having a say on who he'd like us to chase.
I reckon we ballsed it up slightly last year hence why we would appear to have our man already. Come Sunday afternoon after the Eagles return to Perth you'd think he has his Crows hat on.

Terry Wallace looking at what he thinks clubs need to improve their list for next year....Adelaide : a big bodied midfielder to immediately replace Dangerfield and also Scott Thompson in 18 months time, a KPP, mostly a KPD as he reckons our forward set up is on par with the very best in the comp, sees our defence as our only real weakness and thinks we need an upgrade on Hartigan for starters. Also reckons Brad Crouch getting over his injuries will be a big barometer to our chances in 2016.

I can't say that Bennell isn't coming to us, but looks unlikely at this stage. Media has not once said we definitively have interest. Hope everyone isn't getting their hopes up.

Reckon our haul will be something along the lines of Redden and Hampton, plus possibly another piece like Menzel. And two first rounders, of course.

Hard to argue with any of that.

Would love to think we're into Harley as he's the most talented player available to immediately step into Danger's midfield role, but it appears Richmond have the edge. And probably 3 other Victorian teams. Appears to be that's where his manager is shopping him around.

Haven't been following this thread so need to ask a question.

Has anyone mentioned CEY to Sydney? Watch this space. Chance of this happening according to a 'connection' of mine.
He is zero chance of getting a game there, would be a really dumb move on his part. Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker, Daniel Hanneberry, Tom Mitchell, Keiran Jack, George Hewitt>>>>CEY.

Richmond and Freo are the two big chances, by the looks of things. Not looking great for us at all really.

Shame, we never seem to be able to recruit elite talent, but never say never I guess. I mean, we recruited Wayne Carey once...:D

In a sentence or two, how would you describe Hewett. Which player on our list is he most like?
Scott Thompson with better footskills and a bit more pace

http://www.afc.com.au/news/2013-11-20/aflcomaus-phantom-draft

GEORGE HEWETT

29/12/95, 185cm, 79kg, North Adelaide

Hewett has a lot of admirers and with good reason. He has neat skills on both sides of his body and is prepared to put his head over the ball, win it, and then come out with it. He had a good carnival with the South Australian under-18 side and also has a lot of upside - he is the youngest player in the draft as he doesn't turn 18 until December 29.
