So now we'll probably have Lever, Cheney, Shaw, Otten, M Talia on the list playing the same position, 3rd tall.
Does anybody think this is just way too much depth for the same position?
M Talia is a genuine 2nd KPD.
Good back depth. In reality we would hope Shaw and Otten dont get a game next year, but they are handy to have as your 5th and 6th KPD.

Hmm i remember Talia played well against Walker when we versed them in R4, however the ball wasn't coming into his area that clean anyway.
Is Talia better than Hartigan?

Classic isnt it.
I swear half of our supporters care more about Port failing than us winning.
It seems to be a mentality shared by quite a few supporters from either club, and I just don't get it. I care about the Crows first, and the Crows second, and third, and so on and so forth. If Port are currently shit, and I can rub it in my Port supporting family members/mates faces, then that's just a bonus.

Toumpas looked to be a jet when younger, but has done precisely 2/5ths of **** all since entering the AFL, and is increasingly looking like just another high draft pick bust for Melbourne. I'd accept him as steak knives or for a shitty draft pick we wouldn't use, but I won't lose any sleep over not getting him.

If they aren't going to offer him a contract won't they eventually have to cut him so he goes as a free agent?
Eventually, but not until after trade week. They'll shop him around first.

If he has a definite destination he could refuse any trades and just wait to be delisted though.

If the Bulldogs wanted to be dicks about that though they'd offer him a shitty contract, when he refuses it he will still get delisted but won't be DFA as he had a contract offer. He'd then need to try his luck in the PSD.

Yet we offer our 5th/6th KPD 2 year deals?

Thinking maybe the Shaw rumour isn't true, just seems like we're going too heavy with the 3rd talls and if we were to bring Talia in, we could do with one less given he'd be some KP depth.

I suspect we're bringing in M Talia to replace Siggins, and then not drafting any defenders. That would keep our list the same as last year.

Talia, Hartigan, Lever, M Talia as the key talls.

Cheney, Otten, Shaw, Kelly, (Lever) as the third talls

I would say not.

Perfect lineup would be Talia, Hartigan (after another preseason of improvement), Lever

But those are all a mix of heights. Shaw, Lever and M Talia are both KPD heights on par with D Talia and Hartigan. Otten is just a wee bit shorter than those guys and Cheney and Kelly are shorter again. Kelly and Otten can also play in other parts of the ground. Kelly is aiming for a run-with midfield role while Otten is handy up forward as well, so they are a bit more flexible.

I'm glad we are going deep with the KPD. Just look at West Coast's situation , they just have McGovern as the KPD....
Well theyve got Schofield as well, but were pretty unlucky losing McKenzie and Waters for the whole year.

McKenzie is equivalent of Talia. Very very very good player.

I think Shaw and Lever don't have the size to play as a proper KP defender, Otten probably falls under that category as well.

Lever is still quite young so that's no real surprise, we could build his size up if we choose to but I think he'll be better suited as the 3rd tall who can help out in the contests and provide us with some good run the other way.

hasnt otten spent his time since coming back in the midfield?

wouldn't mind that.
We need speed and elite decison making in the midfield, Otten doesn't offer us that, I'd vote no.
I wonder if Pyke will realise that we need speed, class, elite kicks in the midfield or would he prefer VB, MacKay running through the wings/midfield.

I think kelly could end up being alot like nathan bassett from what i saw earlier in the year.

M Talia (194, 94) is only 1cm shorter than Daniel (195, 97) and 3kg lighter and coincidentally exactly same vital stats as Hartigan.

So could easily play CHB.

Michael is more a rebounding defender I believe ??
