I don't think Stanton's disposal is anywhere near as bad as it's reputation. I'd take him in a heartbeat and send Mackay/Wright to the twos and I'd definitely play him over Lyons, Grigg and Martin.

Sturt
our whole list seemingly had poor disposal 6 months ago
Jury's still out really. Our disposal was pretty rubbish in the pre-season. If we go back to kicking at 60%, no amount of team defense is going to be able to help us against a top 4 side. (and I mean an actual top 4 side, not North)

Yes we need to see how our disposal stands up under some real heat

I'll probably get shot down - but Brent Stanton?

Unrestricted free agent, outside run?
Yuck! Kristof..... I would expect better of you, this isn't ultimate footy mate :p

A fraud of a football player. Sits on the outside like a seagull waiting for the ball and even when he does it, rarely does anything of note with it.

Both BK and the Broomster signed two year contracts last year.

I don't see the point of going for BK, if he wanted home he should have come home last year and staked his claim. He signed on for two more years of playing seconds with the occasional sub role, he can get stuffed as far as I am concerned now.
That's fine, completely ignore some of the most naturally talented football players that would be "available" to some extent and "realistic" trade targets because of petty reasons.

Both broomhead and BK Id take in a heartbeat, very talented players.

Also to those saying it, Ben kennedy is not a small forward...

They were both available last year, both said no thanks and signed contracts. Yes, they are both talented but so are another 100 or so players we can target and I'd rather target players who want to come here at the end of their first contract, not at the end of their second when they still haven't cemented their place in a bottom dwelling side. Kennedy would be worth no more than a third rounder given his current output.

In all seriousness, what difference does it make whether it's a first or second contract? That's such a pointless argument imo.

Why buckley refuses to play either of them with the midfield losses they've had is completely beyond me, and a lot of pies supporters seem to be in the same boat. Only makes them cheaper now if we were to go after them.

Rate broomhead higher than BK, but if collingwood said yes to BK for a 3rd round pick as you suggested, I would take that without even batting an eyelid.

Soft spot for Brisbane
The trade would be the most expensive part
Yeah. Not sure how we'd do Carlisle and Aish in the same year, without Danger leaving and us trading away all picks.

The $750k he wants is high too - but you'd probably roll the dice and find a way to work it out.
