Jenkins and our 1st for Aish.

We get the outside run we need. They get the KPF they need.
Lowden slides into Jenkins role as the second ruck
Ok in principle but we would need to be sure Lowden could do the job. Hawks folk seemed happy enough with his ruck work but warned he was no key forward.

JJ offers rare flexibility and is structurally a very important player.

he played one game and kicked 3 goals.
Yep - am well aware of his imposing senior record.

Personally I put a bit of stock in those who have watched him regularly at VFL level.

Maybe he can play the role. We will find out in due course. But right now we've just invested 50 games into JJ who continues to perform in a role that both difficult and structurally critical. It's not a ruck that can stand in the goal square here and there - it's a KPF that can relieve in the ruck.

My concern is Lowden appears the former.

Essendon supporters are becoming increasingly worried about jake carlisles signature for a contract extension. After missing out on jeremy cameron with a big money offer i think its highly possible we could land him. Surely with all the asada goings on and the players still not knowing what exactly has been injected into them, they would have a distaste for hird and the efc. Essendon are notoriously hard to deal with but have been pillaged by port. Wanganeen, cockatoo collins, monfries, ryder. Maybe its time we got in on the action.

Almost there. Anderson, Ladhams & Jenkins. Not to the same level though.

We shouldn't have to give up Jenkins and our first for Aish if he wants to come to us and is uncontracted. Jenkins is probably worth a pick in 15-25 range depending on the strength of the draft in that year.

We can't afford to give up jenkins and our first round for Aish.

We have too many players of the same type. Lyons, Grigg, M Crouch, Wright, Martin are all similar types. We will obviously keep Crouch, but not sure how many of the others will end up being required. Not sure if any have value either.

In all seriousness, what difference does it make whether it's a first or second contract? That's such a pointless argument imo.
If they are struggling to get good game time by their first contract ending, I can understand but at their second then they aren't good enough for AFL. That is the only way they are coming back at the end of the second contract, if they are best 22 by that stage they won't come back

Why buckley refuses to play either of them with the midfield losses they've had is completely beyond me, and a lot of pies supporters seem to be in the same boat. Only makes them cheaper now if we were to go after them.
He has played them and they haven't performed. I have watched BK in Collingwood games and granted he comes on as a sub but he hasn't been damaging. He has had a couple of games with some OK stats but even in those games he was pretty meh. From what my Pie mates say, Brooms doesn't two way run which is holding him back at AFL

Rate broomhead higher than BK, but if collingwood said yes to BK for a 3rd round pick as you suggested, I would take that without even batting an eyelid.
Agree, I rate Broom higher based on his speed and damage. My point is this, if either player wanted to come home last year, we could have got them cheapish but this year they are contracted and Collingwood makes everyone pay a premium on a contracted player, even ones seeking trade on compassionate grounds, they are just too expensive this year for what they are.

Brisbane thought pick 5 was good enough to get beams. Based on brisbanes logic a late second round should be enough.
I would be happy to give a first rounder for Aish. He's only 19 and he has alot of room to improve. He would replace Mackay on the wing as well :D

Newcastle, Colorado Rockies.
They drafted him at 7. Hopefully our first pick isnt any higher than 12 or 13.
Uncontracted lowers value and your treating a 40 goal KPF as steak knives... now a 40 goal KPF will also command at least 1 first rounder.

The only player i'd give a 40 goal KPF and a first rounder for is GAJ/Judd at their prime

If I was Brisbane, I'd be stoked with that deal.

If Chris Dawes on the back of two season with an output half of Jerkas commanded a pick 20 and pick upgrade then Jerka has to be a mid range 1st round pick...in a draft void of good talls. Am not sure Aish is worth two first round picks...
