I was watching the project this evening and Peter Heliar was making a joke about the new free trade agreement, saying he can now trade all his Sidebottom trading cards. I guess this rumour would explain those comments. As a pies fan in the media, possible he knows something.

Jedi will be head and shoulders above Gunston... STAY AWAY!!

Jesus, if you guys made this deal work then it'd be enough for me to go into a bout of depression, I'd seriously take my hat of to you for doing it though!

FWIW - He is contracted for next season so it would need to be a pretty bloody good offer and I don't know if there is a player ( outside of Danger ) that we would accept, , maybe Talia but for both clubs that would probably be to much. Just wanted to let you guys know the worth and talent of the kid, as ELITE as you can get for a 21 year old.
An elite 21 year old that isn't in your best 22.... and you want AA full back Talia in return.... you're dreaming mate. That's what comes with success keep playing the oldies and the young guns will want to go else where for more opportunity, no use being at the most successful club if you can't get a game. If he was at any other club he'd be best 22.

Exactly. the only way a player like Talia comes into the conversation is if he comes out and says he wants out and then we add the difference - Or more than likely Adelaide simply tell us to get ******. I'd like Jed to stay but if he wants out he gets out. it's only the price that is up for debate.

no we wont, he's sh*t. cant run, cant kick.
Can't kick? He pretty much never misses a shot on the run and he's streaks above some of the putrid field kickers we have in our 22.

The mistake has been that we haven't backed him in and given him time to develop as a HFF who occasionally rotates through the midfield. The sub rule has butchered his career at Adelaide.

Guys, stop dreaming about Mookay being traded, he'd be just that type of campaigner who'd BOG with 35 possies and 4 goals against us in a line breaking, non ragdolled performance that will make you collectively shit your pants

Seedsman is a better player than Lyons. Has a much higher ceiling.

Not saying Lyons is bad, but he's the type of player that can be replaced easily and a high percentage of players are able to play his role.

I'd love Seedsman for Lyons, but I doubt Collingwood would want another midfielder.
We have over stocked in the Lyons forward mid type players

we are short on tall "fast" running defender types

Seedsman will be better than Lyons in OUR current side, regarding balance in our list

You believe that the above mentioned crows players are walk up best 22 in any of those teams either?
Collingwood or GWS? VB definitely. Hawthorn? Probably not... However, the fact that Hawthorn have an excellent team keeping Andersen out doesn't automatically mean that he'd walk straight into any other team.

I'm more than happy to have Mackay replaced. Permanently.

Well VB and Mackay got dropped for debutants in Knight and Atkins this year so it's hardly a stretch. Considering the talent it's more likely than not.
I hope it does happen, because it means we have some real competition for positions in the 22. I really hope Mackay goes, because I'm sick of the rubbish he served up in the second half of the year. VB is far more likely to hold his position.

Do you know who Collingwood and GWS half backs are?

If we pick up Anderson, Seedsman and Hampton there's no way VB will be selected. He was borderline at the back third of the year and will be overtaken quite quickly.

I'm just saying when you compare the two both have done very little but one has won the ANZAC day medal which for me makes him worth more.

Lyons hasn't had a dominant AFL performance like that since 2013 against Collingwood when he kicked 4 goals.
And how many other dominant performances has Seedsman had? Why do you think the Collingwood fans are so happy to see him go?

Any player can have one game where everything goes their way and they look like an absolute superstar. Whether they can back that up, with regular high standard performances in subsequent games, is what determines a player's true quality.

If we manage to get Anderson to our club & he got fully fit with a strong PS. He'd play his first game in the reserves then that would be it. He'd never play seconds again.

When was the last time VB had a high quality AFL game?

If VB holds his spot then we are going nowhere. He literally offers us nothing and was putrid this season. Slow. Fumbles. Doesn't hit targets. He is most definitely not afl standard.

His short passing would be in the top 10% of the team.
he is honestly not good. people rated him on his sanfl output when he wasnt given a go. when youre at the match you can see everything off ball. he is lethargic, lazy and does not run defensively at all. literally crouch and thompson look awesome in comparison. his kicking is bad and for an inside mid where he supposed to have the quick reflexes/thought process to get the hands free and whip out a handball to someone (thompson and crouch and danger and douglas all good at this) he is slow. hes not just slow in pace, he is slow in the mind. gets caught a lot and makes the wrong decision a lot. we will not lose ANYTHING by losing him. he would be a good pickup for a team with literally no inside mids. bit like GC last year. other than that hes not an AFL player
