Interesting listening to new St Kilda find Josh Bruce 22y.o. [Ex GWS] interviewed this morning saying he reckons there's plenty of talented young players just like himself at GWS that are not really getting a fair go commensurate with their abilities that would most likely welcome a move to clubs where they would actually get a chance at AFL level.

Hope we are running a fine tooth comb over their list for players that would suit our needs.
I'd really hope we'd be into lachie plowman from GWS. Pick 3 in 2012 I think, 192 cm defender. Injured atm but hasn't really got a run up there yet. Could be a really good rebounding defence with him, lever and cheney.

Yeah he would be a great target. GWS may be willing as well considering their strength in defense. Davis, Mohr, Patful, Tomlinson, Plowman, Corr and now Marchbank. I remember us being interested in Corr before we gave up our draft picks as well.

To turn us into a genuine top 4 premiership contender we need a quality tall forward, tall defender, pacy wingman and backup ruckman who can hold his own. If these players are already on our list we must blood them by the end of the year. If not on our list then lets go shopping.

Gorringe is now no go ......has shown by his actions with Port that he has an attitude problem

Plus listening to last weeks GCS game think it was Brereton was highly critical of Gorringe's lack of work effort & team work

We've drafted enough KPP to not have to worry about Mr Gorringe now
Gorringe will not be an AFL player , saw him play again on the weekend for GC reserves.....the best way to describe him is to say he has a few Shaun Mckernan traits - looks talented , has size athleticism and is a lot fitter than smack but doesn't impart himself on the game, is introverted on the field and almost looks stressed playing football

GC have basically given up playing him in ruck because he is not physical enough and the same goes for up forward so they have basically run out of spots to put him - Wing, on ball are the current ones

Rory Lobb is more than handy as tall fwd / 2nd ruck and nathan Wilson as a small defender / outside mid has plenty of talent. .....and curly Hampton played NEAFL on weekend !!

Tall forward: Jake Carlisle
Tall defender: Jake Carlisle
Back up ruck: Jake Carlisle?
Outside winger: Jake Car...... Yeah nah, off to the draft for this one.

Jake Carlisle is the one. And imo he will be the one. Along with aish.
are there any actual rumours/inside info regarding carlise? if so, yay. he reminds me of tippett a lot and would definitely play up forward instead of jenkins and have a go in the ruck. but im 99% sure he will not leave essendon considering he didnt leave during all the drugs scandal

Dylan Shiel, Adam Treloar & Stephen Coniglio are all out of contract this year at GWS, having yet to commit after many others have. I wonder if they'll lose one (Treloar is reported to be the most likely)

Hes put off contract talks until further notice. I posted an article a week ago about it in this thread. Id be very surprised if we havent been waving a big bag of $ in his face. We were willing to throw the bank at cameron next cab on the rank imo is carlisle. It could depend on success much like danger, but if were both up near the top 4 and were offering another year plus a couple hundred thousand more it would be hard to knock back.

I'd rather Sheil than Aish but that's my personal thought
I'd like that too but it comes down to being realistic

Eddie Betts wanted to play for the team he supported as a kid and b closer to family
Jacobs - wanted to do same

What motivation does shiel have to move to Adelaide ?

Aish is Adelaide through and through and a damn classy player who has succeeded at every level he has ever played at , if a good player wants to play for you then you make it happen

Could have sworn last year everyone was saying how Carlise has said he hates Adelaide the state and would never come here?
This comes up almost every day.

He said it was his "least favorite holiday destination" which is a very fair comment. Great place to live though. Especially when you're earning massive dollars with 50k fans cheering you on every week, no peptides, no arrogant douchebag coaches, no paul little, no hird animated gifs on your teams forum etc.

Rings a bell but I always thought there were others on here suggested he disliked Adelaide as well (unsure if it was city/club).

You're making Adelaide/Crows sound far better then they really are at this point though, sure everything looks great at the moment and I'm loving it but he'd be in a fish bowl town where if he doesn't perform and is given a lot of cash then he'd be criticized every day. The worst is behind Essendon, he didn't leave when they were in the heat of it so why would he leave now? We've only just got rid of Trigg, I don't know a great deal about Paul Little other then he has a lot of money and would have helped Essendon during these rough years but it's been suggested he'll step down at the end of the year anyway, he's put up with those coaches for years now and had plenty of chances to get out.
