Where does he fit?

FF: Betts - Jenkins - Cameron
HF: Lynch - Walker - Douglas
C: Crouch jn - Sn - Knight
HB: Smith - Hartigan - Lever
FB: Laird - Talia - Brown
Ruck: Jacobs - Thompson - Sloane

Interchange: Henderson - CEY - O'Brien - Lyons

Guess he could find a spot in the interchange bench but thats no guarantee he will play 22 games as we have a few other trades in the pipeline.
Although I'm a big fan of Crouch jn, he not a winger. He needs to be inside. I see Anderson being a creative winger type.

In front of ROB and Lyons easily.

Jaensch is missing ;)

Crouch Jnr isn't an outside mid. Honestly, this year I don't see a spot for M Crouch in the starting 18. He's Thommo's replacement.

I've edited it for you. Also not sure ROB has consolidated his 22 spot yet - if we get Menzel, maybe he pushes him out? I'm not sure.

And that's all I've been saying all along.
You said he wouldn't be any good at all because his stats were bad for a young player in 3 years and that Hawthorn are trying to get rid of him. Nothing was mentioned about this pick 13 until later once the facts were presented to you and you finally listened to the facts, so you had to change your point.

ROB is yet to play a game let alone consolidate a spot. Will get maybe a game or 2 next year if he keeps improving.

So you answered your own question. Chances of all 22 being fit at the same time is minimal so if he is best 25 he will play nearly every game.
So he is happy to go friom bring best 26 in the premiership side to being 18th to 25th in the 6th placed side?

wasn't that the premiss, he would play 22 games and that was his incentive to move clubs?

Yeah, probably my thoughts, although going by rate of improvement I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a factor towards the end of the season.

Crouch sn (fingers crossed)
knight
Cameron
Betts
Laird
Thompson

Does he play in front of any of those?
Why would he have to play in front of Betts, Cameron and Laird (and maybe Smith)?

With no sub rule next year he fits into our mid rotation if he's good enough.

I don't know, you won't agree with whatever I say anyway as you have your mind made up.

I don't feel he would play in front of any of those 10 non key postion player.

I'm not sure who brought it up but here is the first half of the Indigenous all-stars vs richmond 2013, Jed is no. 17.
Also playing: Cey, Betts, Hampton (no. 22) and stiffy pops up with three goals, and i remember thinking he might have a good year, but only played the 2 games lol.

Jed lays a strong tackle on Martin at the 6 minute mark.
Yeah, he looks alright, so does Hampton but I reckon we should do everything we can to get #19. What a gun!

Junior starts on the bench, rotating with Thommo. Henderaon out, Anderson on the wing. Easy peasy.

I would of through the VB and Mackay were just filling the vacant spots left by Jeansch and B.crouch.
Jaensch still has six months rehab to go and is no certainty to slot straight back in and Crouch will be eased back in very carefully as well. IMO.

I find it interesting that we've been linked to a swag of different small, speedy players, and a couple older depth rucks, but as far as I can remember, we haven't been linked to one key backman this offseason.
Is this because we have faith in what Hartigan, Cheney and Lever can do? Or are we making a play for some, but just not publically?
Key back is one area that is a genuine area of need for us. As far as legitimate key backs, we more or less only have 2 on our list, Talia and Hartigan. We don't even have any young guys coming through. Hartigan basically gets a game every week by default, which for a team that's a finals team that wants to push up into that top 4 bracket, it's something that really needs to be addressed.
