GO YOU CROW BOYS
Rigtho - I've been through and cleaned up alot of the snippy posting between posters - one being central to it all.
Said poster has copped a few infractions, couple of extras for every page I had to go through to clean up the crap. Had a gutful folks, keep it on topic and free of BS as my threshold for foolishness is quite low at present. You've been warned.

Good. He ain't a bad player, but does not suit our needs.

Isn't Seedsman supposed to be a winger/half back with reasonable pace and good kick?

I haven't seen him much so don't know how accurate my description is but if so, that's exactly what we need.

think there has been some rather unseemly group bullying of our favourite protagonist.

ps. everyone Jed Anderson had a largely full pre-season and played the first 3 games before being dropped. he played 15 games for box hill after that. he did not have a significantly injury interrupted year

he's probably behind
Hartung
Langford
O'Rourke
Howe
and maybe sicily

that's why he wants out for more opportunity. for the right price he's the type of we could use, but this cult devoid of facts should stop.

that, and the gang bullying of Alex

I love reading/talking football but this site doe send you loopy.

I understand some posters are very passionate about Anderson, but I agree that not everyone has to be into him. And yes, I have read the argument x 50 that until you see him play you don't understand how good he is, but considering he hasn't been on the park that often, you can forgive people for not examining archive footage.

However, two points

1. Injuries are bad, a player that gets persistent injurie is called injury prone, and this is not a good thing. Those posters who keep excusing Jed from playing games because he was injured, please stop. Injures do not protect player value. An injured players value is zero on the field, see Shaw. Also injuries detract from player trade value, see Polec, not worth a straight 1st round due to injury history.

2. Also, the game of trading is not to give fair value, Hawks have a great side because they pick up players in the draft for less than they are worth: Gunston. The point of trade is not to slap down your best and fairest offer first up. The point is for him to declare he wants to go to your club and his agent campaigns while AFC offer sweet FU, finally settling on something mediocre, because the opposition club knows that is all they will get. Or at least that's what happens to AFC.

Oh and 3 for good measure, shock horror if Cats are forced to trade some talent to get in some picks to satisfy other clubs they are trying to fleece, some posters need to stop giving them the excuse they don't have currency, it's up to them to get it, by giving something up.
a great post, and not the first time i've thought that from you in recent days :thumbsu:

No one is saying he is going to be a champion or a direct replacement for Danger. He has buckets of potential and upside..people just get tired of so called supporters taking a 'dump' on something we would like to get excited about and a little hope...
Yeah I'm fine with that when we've landed a player but this is a trade thread where we're discussing a players value, so I'll dump as much as I like.

What are the chances that Hampton or for that matter any trades get done tomorrow?

Will this trade period involve more action than previous years, as it feels like there is so much whispered movements there could be a lot of players changing clubs.
As I have posted previously I think we may bring in Hampton and Anderson and upgrade picks..I wouldn't mind being wrong and see the AFC be aggressive this time around and improve our list so that there is genuine pressure for 22 spots each week.

Would be over the moon with Hampton, Menzel, Anderson and Redden or Mayes.
