And his time in the 20 metre sprint was 2.94 seconds. The second fastest out of the SA boys.
His phantom draft notes suggested he had good burst pace rather than sustained pace like a lighter player such as Cameron or Jetta. Good enough to extract himself from a pack I'd expect. Depends who the Crows trade out but could provide something to work with.

If he turns into jack Crisp of this deal then I would be ok with that, if two 1st rounders is the main deal.

If he is part of the trade it does makes me wonder if Geelong drafted him with this future in mind?

If Kerridge or Lyons goes Gore would still be a decent candidate. Would let us focus on outside players in the draft.
Lyons has a contract for next year and his continual inclusion as the sub towards the end of the year has shown that he is preferred at the current time to Grigg who is uncontracted at the club.

Former Adelaide Crow Sam Siggins details depression battle
UNTRIED Crows defender Sam Siggins has identified himself as the player involved in the training accident that threatened teammate Brent Reilly’s life and ended his AFL career.

Thanks for this post, Glenny. I really feel for Sam Siggins, what a truly dreadful year for him. All the best Sam, hope you get the black dog under control soon.

I wonder if we will be able to see what tactics the AFC may imply judging by the selections this off season. If you guys cant tell already I love theorising about team structure and game plan.

Could we go down a big bodied midfielder route with CEY, Hampton, Thomo maybe Gore etc playing with outside speed from other players? Or are we going to stick with "average sized" mids and maybe play CEY as an unique physique through the centre?

One thing is for sure, I am excited to see what happens over trade week; and even more excited about what Pike may implement with our list.

I prefer Grigg personally, was disappointed when he got injured and then couldn't break back into the side. With Lyons, I just find that he is not strong enough, gets pushed out of the contest and doesn't stick tackles. For an inside mid he isn't solid/heavy enough, and can't make space.

I think the problem goes back to Sanderson and the match committee stifling the future, and now these guys are well shy of the 50 game breakout marker where they should be.

Looking forward to the Danger trade going through so players start naming us. Exciting times.

I just hope Noble doesn't leave trade week with only Hampton following him out.

We can only hope it happens early so we can dangle some picks at other clubs during this week. If it doesn't happen by Friday then we'll all be sweating during next weekend and this thread will be a nightmare to read!!

I love reading/talking football but this site does send you loopy.

I understand some posters are very passionate about Anderson, but I agree that not everyone has to be into him. And yes, I have read the argument x 50 that until you see him play you don't understand how good he is, but considering he hasn't been on the park that often, you can forgive people for not examining archive footage.

However, two points

1. Injuries are bad, a player that gets persistent injuries is called injury prone, and this is not a good thing. Those posters who keep excusing Jed from playing games because he was injured, please stop. Injures do not protect player value. An injured players value is zero on the field, see Shaw. Also injuries detract from player trade value, see Polec, not worth a straight 1st round due to injury history.

2. Also, the game of trading is not to give fair value, Hawks have a great side because they pick up players in the draft for less than they are worth: Gunston. The point of trade is not to slap down your best and fairest offer first up. The point is for him to declare he wants to go to your club and his agent campaigns while AFC offer sweet FA, finally settling on something mediocre, because the opposition club knows that is all they will get. Or at least that's what happens to AFC.

Oh and 3 for good measure, shock horror if Cats are forced to trade some talent to get in some picks to satisfy other clubs they are trying to fleece, some posters need to stop giving them the excuse they don't have currency, it's up to them to get it, by giving something up.
Great post, couldn't have said it better myself. Need you posting more I think :thumbsu:

Crisp was described as "Steak Knives" 12 months ago in the Beams deal

That turned out ok for Collingwood
The thing is, Crisp was given a chance in the second half of 2014 and was actually playing some decent games. So those steak knives seem a fair bit better then one who went pick 50 something last year and didn't play footy at all this year - so basically still a pick 50 imo.

On Crisp, averaged 18.8 disposals, 5.6 marks, 1.1 a game in the 6 games he played from rounds 18-23 last year with an average of 85.5 SC for anyone that rates that scoring system.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow ... a few pins may fall and start trade period moving from the get-go.

If Dangerfield is completed quickly, I expect a few of our players to announce they have re-signed. Crouch, CEY, Grigg, Atkins, Ramsey are ones I expect to see ticked off.

For me, I'm gonna make some guesses on trades:

Dangerfield - Pick 9 + Pick 27 + Gore (would love Gregson or Cockatoo to be involved but I don't see how that can happen)
Hampton - 2016 2nd Round
Anderson - Pick 27
Menzel - (Swap pick 13 for pick 19) + Kerridge

Leaves us with picks 9, 19, 31, 49.
