Chad Fletcher, who is currently grabbing a bench position, is better than all 3 of those guys by a country mile.

Good player in a great side. Would be next to useless in Essendon's current midfield. Similar to Blumfield and Heffernan of 99-01

Sampi in Red and Black

Does anyone think off the rails Ashley Sampi is worth picking up!! If we got him on the cheap, the guy in full flight was magic. He could provide us with another useful target up forward or be put down back to provide some run.. Born in 83 and hails from East Freo he would fit in fine with Ryder, Jetta and the boyz

Re: Sampi in Red and Black

Give Hocking a chance next year - give him DVD's of Paul Chapman to watch over the summer and that's who he should mould his game on. A mid forward with a huge tank and grunt/upper body strength to provide a foil for Lucas, Lyodd and Davey...why not have 4 left footers in the forward line!!!

Perhaps you should have read the whole thread and realised that most Essendon supporters have shot down this thread in flames.

I guess it's easier to just make a dick of yourself though.

Being an expert at making a dick of himself i would say it comes very easily for Gunnar .:D

West Coast generally don't trade unless they can get someone that will really offer something to the team over a few years eg Stinger and Chick. Johns isn't a better player than QL, Hansen or Staker so I can't see any interest on that front. Gumby or Ryder we may be interested in but they are the future KPP players of your club so why would you want to trade them?

Sorry - I didn't realise that I wasn't allow to respond to the original post.

The official shoot-down had come in.

You weren't responding to the original post.

You clearly stated "Bomber fans"

You implicated the lot of us.

Judging by your last post, you obviously have the quoting function down pat. So we can only presume you read the first post, came in half cocked presuming all Essendon supporters felt the same way.

Do you judge books by their covers as well?

West Coast's Forward line has been under heavy scrutiny, because of it's lack of height abd permanent forwards the only permanent forwrds are Staker and Lynch and I think, they will be interested in 1 of our many tall guys forwards for a good draft pick or a key midfielder, Priddis, Rosa or Chad Fletcher. What do you think.

Don't want any of those mids listed. Quite happy with Jobe/Winder/Stants growing into the nucleus of our midfield for the next 6 years....thrown in others coming through and I think we're onthe right track...

Am I the only one who is happy with our drafting over the last 3-4 years?

Nah, last few have been quite good, can't wait until we see Dempesey sprinting and chasing through the middle on a consistent basis
