I brought Sylvia into my team once he recovered from his toe injury a month or so back because he's got huuuuge upside - a big risk/reward thing that has paid off so far.

But he's been in such great form that no doubt teams will now send their no.1 tag straight to him, which I'm unsure of how he will cope with.

Dids is a safer option I reckon but Sylvia has the potential to rack up enormous scores moreso than Dids.

Also, I think Melbourne do have quite an easy run, and are still in contention for finals, so nobody will be rested, or cottonballed. Sylvia wouldn't be a bad choice given his last 4 weeks but I would take Dids myself. Col will give you some big scores but also some 70-80ish games. Also, he is one of those guys that can spoil a good dreamteam/supercoach score by giving away several stupid free kicks and 50's(buddy style)...... Dids can have big games too but he won't serve up less than 100 given the Pies play EVERY FREAKIN GAME at the 'G'

Can Tapscott get a gig between now and round 22 at all?

Tapscott will probably get a game or two. I would have said definately a couple of weeks ago but we are suddenly an outside chance for the finals. He's been playing well and I'm sure the boss would love to give him a taste of the big time this year.

On another topic, how annoying has Gysberts been from a DT/SC point of view. Traded out Shuey (who is finally gonna play this week) after two big games and then he gives me a 26/back injury..... oh well, I have to hope my gun mids stay healthy because I have no coverage

Here's a really early question for next year

what is the status of Sam Blease and his return from last years broken leg? has he recovered ok and just missed the preseason he would've needed for senior footy this year?

IMO would need at least 8-10 games for Casey, plus a full pre-season, before getting a game for Melbourne in 2011.

From Melbourne this year I have Grimes and sylvia. Also considering tapscott and blease.

Do you think Grimes will start to push a 95 average this year? He always shows a bit but can have quiet games every now and again (tagging roles methinks). What do you see his role as next year?

Also, on tapscott and blease. Does anyone see these two getting regular games? Who would they be pushing out of the team?

As for Tapscott & blease I would hold off on them & look to use them as a cash cow later in the season, I don't think either will play round 1.
