There was a time (not that long ago) that teams used to 'sing' their club song after a victory rather than just grunt it.

These days all club songs sound the same when sung in the dressing rooms... just a monotone staccato grunt... no tune... just mindless bogan, breathless, blurts like they are trying to get it over and done with as soon as possible.

It's just another chapter in the slow, inevitable shift from loving the sport and the club to treating footy like a business.

You want to be mates with everyone these days, sell yourself to the higher bidder and most importantly, get yourself in the media ASAP.
