It's the pointy end of the season... the 4 remaining teams in finals are working on gameday strategy and selections to get the into the GF. The other teams are looking at their draft picks & list management, deciding which players they will extend, delist or trade

Having a head coach at this time of year is absolutely critical to success in 2022, especially if you've been struggling. I'm sure no professional club wouldn't have one. So this is an inclusive thread for all Bay posters to look forward to next season with positivity, no matter where you finished this year*



*Unless you're unfortunate enough to support a mismanaged basketcase of a club whose board pissed off or missed out on the available coaching candidates, in which case you're screwed

Well, let me be the first to say how pleased I am that you've finally awoken from the coma you were in/recovered from the bad case of amnesia, but I'm afraid I have some bad news for you... I don't know how to put this so I'm just going to say it:

Since the mid 60s when you had that terrible accident and associated head trauma, Melbourne have only played in 2 GFs and lost them by an average margin of... 13 goals You were a powerhouse in the 50s (after the working class clubs sent most of their players off to be WW2 canonfodder), started off the 60s well but then it was all downhill from there

I know coming to terms with this will be stressful, so I want to end on a positive note: you're still much, much better than Footscray (who are now called the Western Bulldogs - don't ask)
