Yeah, other drugs already developed and used on humans will definitely speed up the process. But they still got to conduct clinical trials. Even if they rush it, it’ll be many months away, probably after winter in all honesty

No point saving trades now when the season could be cancelled or postponed at any time, I did that for the EPL and now those trades I saved are useless.

If the season goes ahead I'll be burning through those trades even faster than usual, you never know when the next trade could be your last.




I signed back up to Kayo last week for the Aus vs NZ ODIs and the footy season, since then 2 of the 3 ODIs have been cancelled and now Rd1 is in doubt.

Some thoughts. Some original, some borrowed from the great SC Elites podcast today

1. At a maximum of 17 rounds, there is a shorter length of time to catch the leader, so you can't fall too far behind, and can't leave too much to the end.

2. Unclear what they will do with trade numbers, will it be 2 per week, or 3 per week (up to 30)? Or will there be more? But will probably need to be more aggressive in trading. Especially sideways trading.

3. There is less time for rookies to appreciate. Hence there may be a role for more expensive bench rookies then cull earlier to make cash?

4. On the other hand, as per point 1, you don't want to leave too much cash on the bench as you need to maximise on field points. Hence, probably emphasises the importance of a playing R3 to make cash, whereas other lines you can go as cheap as possible with those that are playing.

5. Injury prone players only need to play 17 games. On the other hand, every missed game is a bigger % of the season.

6. DPPs will be more important. Maybe best to start a DPP in the midfield line? May be a key factor in deciding utility (eg. Bailey Williams, Darcy Cameron etc.)

7. If players get a week off (especially if more than 1 game per week for part of the season), we can expect that more will be rested, or given more forward time, and others (midpricers?) will get more midfield time and may get big scores once or twice?

Gives you DPP flexibility, covers you in case of Grundy injury/resting/suspension.

With the 17 game season now is too risky to start injury prone players, less games to get through but any injury means a must trade situation. Do we now go a lot of mid priced options and impact players with high ppm like Nic Nat.

How do we go about rookies as we will still need cash but do higher priced rookies give you the option to upgrade quicker? Don’t know to structure up at the moment.

SC Elites is probably the worst of all SC podcasts. Group-think to the extreme. The 2 main dudes end up with basically the same team every season because they talk down basically anyone that isn't in their team. They also take themselves way too seriously and think their word is gospel. Not sure I'd be taking too much from that one.
