We have won 7 outta 16 ( edit ) quarters for the year. We should be 1 - 3.

We were in front for 13mins out of 103 v Saints, 58 of 111 v GWS, 26 of 105 against the Swans, 11 of 106 tonight. That 25% time-in front. You keep playing games on the back foot then you better be prepared to lose.

In first quarters we're 1-3 with a % of 72.9
In second quarters we're 1-3 with a % of 60.6
In third quarters we're 2-2 with a % of 95.8
In final quarters we're 4-0 with a % of 231.7

Double or triple teamed?

Stop talking out of your asses.

He got legitimately taken to the cleaners by a 30+ ruckman playing full back for the 4th game in his entire career.

he doesn’t go hard enough at the ball in the air when everything isn’t in his favor, he gets pushed off the line of the ball incredibly easily and then tends to try and play for free kicks.

A sign of a forward seriously out of form is a forward that goes up one handed in a marking contest. Roughhead did it for about 4 games last year and was sent straight to the VFL. If you can get one hand to it you can get two to it. He wasn’t being held.

He had PLENTY of opportunities to impact that game tonight, especially early, he didn’t look like taking a mark.

Hes one of the highest paid players at the club, a senior leader and has the reputation of a star forward.

Stop making excuses for him when he stinks it up.

Hes been seriously sh*t this year. Mr invisible for most of it.

Yes he's out of form and playing stupidly, but he WAS double (and occasionally) triple teamed a bunch due to our stagnant ball movement. He's always been pushed off his line easily, and always will, but he makes up for that by being such a strong lead + mark player, coupled with what used to be ridiculously good accuracy.

Not sure if it's shorter quarters meaning he can't work blokes over as much, he's injured, or his confidence is just plain shot, but I'd agree the majority of his efforts tonight especially (and this year in general) weren't good enough. Even if he 'fixes' whatever is going wrong he's always going to be vulnerable to being nudged in the side or having his run interrupted though.

Copping it in the arse with a polite smile on your face is even weaker.

Clarkson wouldn't tolerate it, but we do. Therein lies the difference. The Marquis of Queensberry was a pansy.
We've had more free kicks this year than any other team. And by some distance.

It sounds like you watched the game, but then you say LMac was awful...
Upon further investigation it appears I may have been influenced by a bottle of McGuigans Black Label Sav Blanc. Still think he was ordinary but acknowledge some (not all) disagree with me.

That's not the ****ing point. This is not a comparative exercise, they are supposed to be consistently paid when they are there.

I'm not backward in slamming umps but I didn't hate them too much tonight. Thought we got the rub first half, not so second half, but overall ok.

Mate, they absolutely slaughtered us. Some massively soft technical frees paid to them that weren't to us.

Forgive my weekly intrusion (and it will be a weekly intrusion, singing the praises of Josh) but North certainly did a steal in Josh Walker Second in the North best and fairest to Goldstein at this stage in the DERRINALPHIL household

Someone did say at some stage in the third quarter that giving Walker a run down forward may have been worth a try. Your full forward was totally out of sorts and the one goal he got was from a slightly soft free. I would have liked to see Ben get a run on the ball to get some confidence. Get a few easier kicks and then go back to full forward.
We need to keep Walks in the back half, he's been great, and I'm of the view that if it ain't broken then don't fix it. Don't want to screw up his awesome defensive form by swinging him forward.
It will be interesting to see how our back half performs once Maj is in.

I wasn’t even that concerned about the ones they were missing with the constant tunnelling.

I was livid that they were gifted two goals from absolute dog shit umpiring.

At the end of the day, regardless of the shit umpiring we killed ourselves with horrible skills and ball use, but for **** sake these guys have one job, a job they seem to be ****ing up regularly every game of every round.

So up until the half way mark of the last quarter we'd had 22 insides 50s.

22!!!

Move the ******* ball forward, take the game on.

65 more possessions and 12 less inside 50s. Took the game on only when we had nothing to lose. It was a dire performance in yet another dire 2020 match.

We were done over in the coaches box and umpiring complicity.

Mate, you can't be ignoring their misses. Burgoyne and Wingard shanked a couple that they'd normally nail.

The ones from putrid free kicks? Those ones?

Will not be AA even if he continues his current form.

Media monkeys are campaigning hard for Weitering. It’s a common theme, Robbie gets overlooked in favour of the media’s new darling.
Big J.Brown referred to him tonight as the best key back in the game.

It was 21-12 our way... what did you want? 30-6?

We didn’t deserve to win.
Of course we didn’t, we were trash.

But it still doesn’t excuse these turkeys from some of the mind boggling shit decisions they made tonight.

Watch the Wingard and Lewis Mitchell decisions are you will scratch your head. Two mind bogglers that cost 2 goals. 2 goals in a 4 point game.

Regardless of how much we deserved to win or not, there is no excuse for these idiots paying free kicks because they are too stupid to realise that players like Wingard have flopped.

I’m actually stoked Taylor backed himself in.
Imagine how much we’d be talking him up if he’d slotted it.

Two great marks again tonight. Love the kid.

He’s not afraid of the moment.
Neither is Simpkin.
Neither is Zurhaar.
Neither is Thomas.

It’s a stretch, but I’m taking that as a positive out of tonight’s game. Glass half full & s***

**** oath. All the kids (bar Zurahrr but he’ll be right) positive tonight. We were let down by our captain, Atley and by missing our #1 extractor. Only played 30 mins of football and almost won. We will be ok imo. Building.
