Firstly, stated am a Sidey supporter (he’s a Star) and can’t see him dropped but I think his output or maybe more his effectiveness this year so far has been down.

Maybe to put it in perspective, stared finals series last year but went missing in the GF.

Plus Sidey has plenty of Browny points in the bank to keep his place.
Steele has been heavily tagged every game this year, but he still gets >20 posies, plus he’s taking a opo player completely out of the game. Everyone should just get off his case, he is simply playing a new role, and doing it very effectively.

Remember Ben Johnson saying how he loved Riewoldt getting booed after grand final parade speeches. Johnson said this in the doco of the 2010 GF. Let’s not be hypocrites.
I think context of moment and occasion is key here rather than just generic booing. Different from Ablett etc.

On Riewoldt he was drowned out while trying to speak by 'Collingwood' chant at gf parade, not booed. Just as an FYI

I’m being triggered by these Essendon supporters on talk back. The main thing is that the excuse for booing Pendles was because of the umpires. So no respect for Anzac Day and the spirit of the day. So the logic in booing him because of someone else’s so called mistakes just defies logic.

Note to any Essendon fan on here, if Dylan sheil could kick you would have romped it in.

Unbelievable. I had very good view of that incident. Clear free kick. Nobody around me was arguing with it, and I was sitting with Essendon supporters.
Called him out of the main board

Unbelievable we seem to be the only club who attracts those pelicans

Was Adam H’s schtick he got away with for years.

Mods Can we please perma ban this flog TRAVISSS from our board. Clearly an opposition supporter who spends his life on Bigfooty trolling our great club. If that doesn’t qualify for a perma ban then I don’t know what does? What more evidence do we need than a great win like Anzac Day and he is on the main board trying to get a chorus together to bag out our captain?

I'd love to see a replacement for Sidey (eg Wills) even imagine kicking that goal that Rusty kicked. Get a grip, his stats are down because he's playing a different position to what he has for the past 4-5 years. He's a class footballer.
Class all day long (in overall terms). Not doubting this at all or disputing it. He is one of our untouchables and plenty more in the gun before him. Just think his effectiveness has been down. New game or not. I wouldn’t be dropping him yet either. Happy to have sensible conversation about it though. If i’m Wrong, i’m Wrong.

People think I hate Mihocek. I don’t.

I just think the difference between his best and poor is very wide.

He needed to influence the contest more today.

It wasn’t his best game today but he is pretty much always a contributor I reckon. He’s a really good footy player and an important part of the side.

Sling tackles which have enough force to put a player our of the game generally get two weeks now, if the Setterfield one is anything to go by.
Funny though as it's not really a sling tackle, where one grabs the Guernsey and slings them around and off the ground by the Guernsey.

Its actually a well executed tackle we were taught growing up and when players turn in it you as a tackler also turn them into the ground. We don't want to soften the game more then it is, very gentle gentle duty of care crap as it is.

Just re-watched the 4th quarter. Treloar, yet again, went for glory and had a ping on goal from 50 while he probably had at least 1 better open option he could have passed to. He does this frequently enough that it is quite frustrating.

Again, winning messy beats the shit out of losing.

Thought Pendlebury was simply wonderful, Grundy was excellent - and Jeremy Howe had his best game of the season. Jack Crisp was good, and Taylor Adams defensive work around the contest was first class.

On the flip side, Dayne Beams is nowhere at the moment, looks very slow & pretty unfit. Callum Brown/Josh Thomas can't play in the same side, and Travis Varcoe/Levi Greenwood both had little-to-no impact on the contest.

Plenty to work on. But pleased to do so being 4-2.

Treloar Kicking and Descion Making has let him down quite a few times this Season

To be fair more often than not he kicks those. It's almost his speciality and gets it 9 times out of 10. I'll back him to take it on himself again when the opportunity presents itself.
