Grundy? Worst game for the year from him today.

I thought overall he lowered his colors to Luey today but still had a reasonable game.

I'll preface this by saying I think Treloar is a good player.

BUT I hate players who give off a dinky handpass, often into trouble so they can get a one two, Treloar is guilty of this.

Yup and his kicking. He really needs to tighten up on kicking to advantage of his teammates, tends to just sink the boot into it.

The players are devoid of zest and flair, we play a choked style of play. It's cringeworthy.

I no longer see a reason for Sidey to remain. If he can help us get a KPF, so be it.

Pendles isn't right, shouldn't be out there.

Was at the match (wife a Pies tragic). We both commented how Pendles just doesn't look right! Don't mind Buckley as a person - he comes across as a first-class person, but my wife said he just has to go, no iffs or buts any more! She also wants Harvey and Sanderson out the door as well quick smart! Not sure what will happen - quite a few around us were absolutely ropeable! Quite impressed with a number of Collingwood players, but they just don't seem to be getting the best out of themselves and also gelling as a team - something NQR.

Lions rejuvenated will push us too. Maybe we just get the one win before the bye unless there's a massive circuit breaker and we reset the whole thing.
Ive never before wanted our club to lose, but with Eddie only a 1-11 record will see Bucks go. So for the greater good I hope we just lose very game until he is forced to sack him.

I'm also among the group who has been loathe to lose faith in Bucks. He was my idol as a kid and probably the best Collingwood player I've seen. I think he's a great role model with tremendous character. I really hoped he would succeed.
But I'm cooked.

12 mins to go , 20 pts down, and we're STILL playing slow down the line!!!! It's utter pain to watch when you see how hard we work for scores compared to our opponents. Surely that's the reason behind such poor conversion. They are spent!
I've lost interest in the season. Something has to give.

I was in your position at the end of 2015, hell I even held out hope for 2016 until we played Swans.

Its funny but I've been a huge Sidebottom critic for quite a few years only to be typically shot down...people now starting to see he is severely overrated.

Skills are average, no pressure and a perrenial downhill skier. Never gets near a man. In tackle pressure at all.

Ship off to a premiership favorite as he'll be able to cheat there. Take the high draft pick and move on.

And when the whips are cracking in Sep.. he is one that does perform. I personally think a lot underrate him. We are not playing good footy at the moment as a team under a ridiculous game plan.. look to him play so much better under a new coach.

I'm all for trading him.. if it meant a deal for a big forward though.

Frustrating, we aren't connecting as we should and that will come with time as the team gels. The irony is, if we just kicked straight we'd be 5-0. Keep in mind that we have had a great deal of turnover and broomhead, Elliot, Reid, Ramsay are four potentially important players that are finding their feet after long injury stints.

After what I saw tonight, yes there were a few poor decisions and kicks i50 but I really think the forwards coach needs a spanking. The forward line is make shift, too many players resting through there, it's unsettling...players not working well. There should have been more shots on goal.

Howe - outstanding when everybody else wasn't.

Treloar - awesome.

Elliot - building nicely, probably the most effective forward.

Fasolo - can't understand where his confidence has gone, was a deadeye d!ck.

Wells - great first game, will improve. Need to keep him fit.

Grundy - was good, but plays better as the sole ruckman.

Cox - I thought he was good, tough day for talls to mark. Gets to the right spots, will clunk them with time.

Reid - We need to throw him up forward next week, hopefully that doesn't effect our defensive set up as the back 6 works quite well together.

Maynard - great

Ramsay - should probably be working through the 2's

Goldsack - I thought he was good, run ragged.

Pendles - something NQR

Adams - Leave him on ball.

Varcoe - amazing game

Greenwood - needs ore tackles to stay in the team

Schade - good

Crisp - as I said last week, takes time to get going, should peak by Carlton.

WHE - so clean, needs more of the ball though. Play him purely front half.

Sidey - would like to see him resting forward more and doing more damage around goals.

Phillips - I think he'll be good once he deals better with the pressure. Should be winning more uncontested ball with his tank.

Moore - wtf is with his kicking, must have the same STD as Fas.

My best buddy, a blues supporter no less said pretty much the same thing, NQR. Buckley and the other coaches are like the elephant in the room. The club can no longer put a spin on it, it hasn't worked. They have to own it.

Jamie was good and Wells showed some glimpses of what he can bring to the team, and Howe was great again (saves our bacon over and over). Other than that not a lot else to say.

I am really struggling with Bucks now, hard to argue he's anything other than a dead man walking.
Howe leading the b&f for me, Grundy and Treloar a way behind. No one else has been near it over 4 quarters in each game.

How much did we win by. With all those great games we must have smashed em?

Dillusional.

I agree.

Too many keen to lay the blame soley at Bucks feet, when in reality we have issues with both.

Point is, the coaches should be helping the players burst through their ceiling, the way Malthouse did in the early years. That's what makes us Collingwood.

Poor Sidey.
He's a victim of his own hard work.
The reason you see so much of him, and therefore any mistakes, is that he is one of very, very, very few Collingwood players who actually run both ways and continually will themselves to the contest.
By all means trade him, but he will leave a massive hole unless you can get someone who can do the same gut running.
By all means trade him and send the message to the playing group that when you put team ahead of profit and accept less money to stay, then the club just treats you like a piece of Carlton that you get on your shoes in the street.
Way to run a club!

For those that can't handle the truth, the facts.
20ppzkk.jpg
Here is another fact.
brown, ball. Krakeour, Toovey, McCaffer(2), Keefe, scharenberg (2)
Freeman all 8 players did ACL"s which I would speculate that's 18months for a player to get back in to match form.
Two players tested positive to drugs and missed 2 years
Reid missed close two 2 years of football
Last year Swan played 5 minutes.

This is all buckleys fault!

Edited - Ramsay ACL And greenwood broken leg missed 11 games I his first year.

Shocking luck

Thanks doodles98 I needed that laugh.........sad day for our Club today IMO.
It was a very sad day for our club alright. I truly thought we would get up for that. I had to run around like a blue arsed fly today to get back from work to watch it.. then they served me up that shite again. Something broke in me today. I won't be getting back on the Bucks Bus from here now CFC. It's done. I just want change asap.. the longer we tread water the further away our future chances of a flag get. The longer Bucks stays.. the more pain he will endure.. and we with him.

My beautiful dog died recently from tick poisoning. She had the anti-venom but as it was her second time being bitten by a paralysis tick.. she was older and it didnt work this time.. it just slowed it down. So I watched her suffer for 3 days. I thought she was on the improve a couple of times; then she'd get worse. Took her back to the vet a couple of times for more treatment, discussed putting her down, we both decided she had too much life in her and we should give her the chance. End result was a slow horrible death that leaves me feeling guilty and still wakes me up in the mornings. Reminds me a lot of how I've been feeling as a supporter about the situation with Bucks and our whole club.

Runs both ways? Do you go to the games and actually watch him? He cheats forward, never goes near his man and does so many stupid dinky kicks that fall short.

Sorry, but I strongly disagree.

Well the old Bucks game plan fails again!!! Over possessing the footy especially by hand in slippery conditions, guarding space as usual on defence while Essendon like other teams with half a brain just go short and use hit up players to move the footy with ease because Bucks thinks every team bomb to a contest.
Buckley is a cliché talking fraud of a coach, his team gets opened up the same way every game and he cannot see how it is happening? give me a spell!!!

These players I do not blame one iota, they are on a hiding to nothing, maximum effort and manic pressure get you so far but that is not sustainable for 22 weeks of footy, you need to be able to make it as easy and simplistic as you possibly can so that there is wriggle room if the team is slightly off for the day.

Well Coach bullish I reckon you have turned all of those stones and there are none that remain unturned so thanks for your service but take your yes men and well worn clichés and do us all a favour and resign!

Well l agree with David King, calling for Bucks to be removed. King has suggested, and l think alot will agree with him on here, that after 6 years coaching, all Collingwood have to show for it, a forward line that cannot score, and a defence struggling to defend. Surely Bucks knows the writing is on the wall.

Actually I can see a plan unfolding.........

Everyone here is calling for Bucks head (although I think as someone who we recruited on the basis of 'playing with a big club' and subsequently failed to put a side good enough to win a GF around, we probably did owe him the chance to coach - that said he has had long enough and it five years now and we have gone backwards each one).

Later this week the pundits will be talking about how bad the Pies are and offering odds on Geelong toweling us by 100+ points

Bucks and the side will have a deep and meaningful heart to heart (maybe they do some goal shooting practice too)

They play against the cats like a team possessed and win - the pressure is off

The following week the pundits are on about how the Pies have turned around

We go into the game against the Blues with a modicum of confidence

The goalkicking yips return, Pendles goes down with an injury, the approach to the forward line resumes its approximation to the scatter theory, and we forget tackling - to go down by 7 goals to the worst team in the AFL.

Bucks announces he can't take it anymore and apologises to the fans for 5 years of pure torture, and wishes the next coach all the best, while Harvs gets a chance to take the reins until the end of the year.

Eddie goes vermilion and his kids ask him to resign before he has a coronary event. He is given appropriate accolades and thanks by the club for his tenure and for lifting us out of the quagmire of the Tony Shaw, Kevin Rose, era.

Harvs tells the boys to just had out and enjoy their footy for the rest of the season - they start playing exhilarating precise footy, but just fail to make the finals (despite beating all finalists on the way in).

......I am losing it....
I think you have lost it. Harvs couldn't organize a kick in a stampede.
Part of the problem. Same coaches for the past few years, same results.

sidey is a gun
his problem in this current set up is that he is too creative the way he plays.

If we are going to lose each week anyway, bucks should keep playing Blair and that freo spud so I can get some laughs from the post game discussion. That will see me through the year until we get a top draft pick, new coach and cull the grubs.
