Would not sack yet but agree.

Look at Richmond and Benny Gale FFS. Look what they said and are now 5-0 with an OKish list.

Sometimes you need to focus on the here and now. Better to call CRISIS CRISIS now rather than wait to you really hit the skids Dees 2013 or Brisbane style.

I know that in his position he can't exactly say yes, it's all going to hell and I don't know what to do. But some acknowledgement that the supporters are being served up inadequate fare would be nice. Might be hoping for too much.

Reality is Ramsay has played 13 games total. 13. And he is returning off an acl. He always gets plenty of the ball and he is a player with potential we need to develop. I think people forget he's so inexperienced and they are not cutting him enough slack for this to be honest. 13 gamer coming of an acl....
Does seem to get caught a lot which is a worry for a backman.
Agree with this , there is something to develop in Ramsay. Has pace and can kick. Qualities we lack. Will improve and will remain part of the 22 for mine.

Not much you can take from that game IMO left at home.

I just hope the usual suspects don't start threads about bad kicking, Presidents, bio-mechanics, CEO's, toilet cleaners etc...........by the way looking forward to Markfs's new thread this week.

Also f...k you Eddie............sorry I just had to get that of my chest! :p
I second that F..K you Eddie and Raise you a F..k you Pert!

I can understand if we retain Bucks for another week given we have a five-day break before the Cats, but he should make way after that.

DeGoey can come back in round 7 thinking that not only did he "let Bucks down", his ****ing stupidity directly contributed to his downfall.

As it stands right now, players are struggling to even hit a target 2 metres away with a handpass. If by some miracle they do hit the target, the bloke on the end of it is strugglinhlg to catch it.

These are basic skills. They can train all they want but it wont make a difference. The issues go far beyong just needing more practise

Thanks doodles98 I needed that laugh.........sad day for our Club today IMO.

Think you are overrating the list to be frank. We lack skills and are also poorly coached. Both are big issues.

I believe we have the talent.. spread it across the entire park.

Aish should be in defence for starters.

Leave WHE up forward.

Give players a position.. and let em take ownership of it.

No one understands what their role is.

When the target is almost universally standing still, you have to guess which side of them to put it, like a goalie defending a penalty. Unfortunately we too often just handball at the target's feet or a metre above their head.

Why did DeGooey lie thou? Like Jeremy Howe? Why not say I fu**ed up what do I need to do?

Yet he lied like a 14yo to his angry parents.

My opinion: Forget Leading Teams and all the other bullshit. It doesn't work.

We have talent to be better than we are now but we are well off the better lists

I see your point, but we've been a bit of a tease as a side in recent years. Our best looks good and at times we've competed well, so I can certainly see why the club stuck by Buckley in the hope we can put together some consistently good footy. Unfortunately with the benefit of a few years it's obvious that we've failed to overcome our short-fallings and haven't taken our game to the next level or developed/evolved our style. While we don't have much ready to go depth and I don't think our best side is very far off it's now clear that we don't have right coach and/or coaching group to take us forward.

But the tease was wrong. It's not fair to say that hindsight is wonderful when the hindsight matches the realists' predictions. It's separate from "hating Buckley". If Buckley can do it then I will suck it up and say I was wrong. But, the reverse needs to apply surely?

I'm also among the group who has been loathe to lose faith in Bucks. He was my idol as a kid and probably the best Collingwood player I've seen. I think he's a great role model with tremendous character. I really hoped he would succeed.
But I'm cooked.
12 mins to go , 20 pts down, and we're STILL playing slow down the line!!!! It's utter pain to watch when you see how hard we work for scores compared to our opponents. Surely that's the reason behind such poor conversion. They are spent!
I've lost interest in the season. Something has to give.

We're not that good.

List is not as strong as some posters believe.

Game plan terrible - handball to each other standing still or try to find someone under more pressure than you

Some players I had high hopes for are no good - Broomhead for example

Positives - Elliot got through another game and found some form. Wells looked good and expect he will take some time to find his rhyhtm. No injuries.

Going to be a long painful season.

Treloar tried. I just wish that he'd stop handballing to the feet of his teammates.
I'll preface this by saying I think Treloar is a good player.

BUT I hate players who give off a dinky handpass, often into trouble so they can get a one two, Treloar is guilty of this.

Where do you start? I try not to vent as much but:

We Can't hit a target, our skills around the ground with no pressure are horrific. Under pressure we either take wrong option or completely miss intended targets.

We have the wrong players kicking out of the defensive end, and the wrong players kicking inside 50. I'm sick of seeing Treloar giving it to crisp or Pendles giving it to Greenwood, and they bomb it high and slow and our forwards are 3 on 1 and out of the contest. Should be the other way around. Get your A graders kicking the ball and doing damage.

Ramsay/Maynard being our exits out of 50 is horrible. Yes young players but compare it with the half backs at the top clubs and it's just another example of where we are at.

Forward structure has been discussed - the worst part for me is we're playing so many smalls yet it's easy to get the ball out, and then our 'line' we form at the 70 metre mark doesn't seem to ever work. The quick kick either lands With an opponents at 60m or goes over our lines head and we're horrific running backwards; couple that with bad skills we then invite pressure.

Very easy to score against - compare the I50/score % conversion and were miles off the good sides. We can't blame this on key players missing as we haven't got any. Bad decisions in draft/trade perhaps but poorly skilled defenders cannot survive in the modern game.

Clearances - getting smashed in the middle and our best contested ball winner Adams is in the forward 50 for 3/4 of the game. how can a coach in his 6th year think this will work? And when it continues to not work, how can he stick with it?

I'm hoping someone smarter than me can and will tell me I'm wrong, but my uneducated opinions above seem to be the same thoughts I have most weeks and it baffles me.

Carlton will nearly go in favourites against us, and Geelong GWS will smash us in the next 3 weeks.
Lions rejuvenated will push us too. Maybe we just get the one win before the bye unless there's a massive circuit breaker and we reset the whole thing.

A change is imminent.

So with it brings hope.. walk on.. walk on.. with hope in your heart.. and you'll never walk alone.

Chin up buddy.. change is good. I can assure you.. we'll be able to connect the dots out there under a new coach.. as opposed to not knowing where number 3 and 4 and 5 is.

Time to play some good looking enjoyable footy under a new coach.

This style of game we're playing at the moment can't get any worse.

It's funny watching it actually.. i go bazerk with a nice passage of play from defence to forward these days.. but back in our premiership yr and before that.. it was nothing for me.. i used to just sit back relax and admire.

It'll happen again.. and soon.

Yep, I have officially jumped off the Bucks bandwagon. He has the list but he can't make it tick.

Making the eight is a pipe dream. Bucks is walking the green mile.

I really hope that the club now looks to develop the 'next wave' of players they promised.

Its funny but I've been a huge Sidebottom critic for quite a few years only to be typically shot down...people now starting to see he is severely overrated.

Skills are average, no pressure and a perrenial downhill skier. Never gets near a man. No tackle pressure at all.

Ship off to a premiership favorite as he'll be able to cheat there. Take the high draft pick and move on.

Or it's up to the players to work back defensively? Buckley can't physically get out there and run for them. Maybe professional players should be accountable their performances also (as should Buckley).

I'd love us to move the ball better inside 50. At the end of the day though, the job of the gameplan is to give us enough opportunities to win the game. I'm not going to pretend it's perfect but can anyone honestly say that we didn't have the opportunities to win this game? There's only so much that can be done from the box. A gameplan that generates many more inside 50s and more scoring shots is going to win more often than not.

Do you know who makes the players accountable for their performances? The coaches by not ****ing selecting them every ****ing week like Blair was.

It's unfortunate, but from the outside looking in it appears as if a culture of losing and acceptance thereof as part of the "process" is now too firmly entrenched within the club for the current structure to remain in place.

You can only learn so much from a(nother) loss and with the cycle seemingly never-ending we are inevitably left with nothing to take from another poor game other than the simple fact that we weren't good enough on the day.

The frustrating bit is that I genuinely think we do have the cattle to be competitive week in and week out, but the work off field has been lacking for so long now that we've simply fallen into a rut on every level with no real hope of improvement in sight.
Omg we've become Melbourne but without the big thrashings. Oh wait there just around the corner
