My post mortem is that Smith should be dropped on an absolutely disgustingly bad performance today. A lot of other players played some of their better football for the club. Aish and Broomhead were both very good.

Umpiring in the second half was ordinary, yes. But Grundy won the hitouts today 53-12 and our midfield in the second half was largely ineffective. That killed us more than anything.

Our team is not pissweak - any team can win with god awful frees paid right in front of goal and then penalising our team at every other opportunity. The one against Greenwood was so obviously not a free kick as to be laughable.

Nah **** the OP, I've never been so mad about a result of a football game in my life. I hate blaming umpires for a loss but they are hands down without a doubt one of the biggest factors as to why Melbourne were able to hold on. Absolutely disgraceful, and I'm even more ****ing pissed because that's just how it is, the umpires will trundle on home all proud of themselves at how good they were today, and no one will question them.

Yeah, we ****ed up at times too, but you can't sit there and say we only had ourselves to blame. There was two sets of rules, and **** off if you think otherwise. I'm not interested in debating that point with anyone.
