If things go as they should, Adelaide, Geelong and Gold Coast should have secured top 4. That last spot is up for grabs.

Crows and Cats have sewn up top 2

Lions to beat Hawks to finish 3rd (Cats vs Lions at the G)
GC in 4th with Port and Dons to play to give them big % boost. (Crows vs Suns at Adelaide Oval)

Pies % against Dees will hurt them, they’ll get a Home Elimination Final (Pies vs Hawks at G)

GWS vs Dogs in 6th and 7th (At Engie…could go either way)

I think it's pretty obvious we are getting at least 2 results that don't play out 'as expected'. Happens every week, let alone a high stakes round like this.

So I think this is more 'Pick the upsets'.

For me:

Port Adelaide to beat GC. - Ken's last stand, Boak etc
Fremantle to beat WB. - Play their best footy when expectations are low and they have freedom to move which WB will give them.

I think Bulldogs Freo definitely closer than the odds suggest. It almost feels 50/50 to me. I would not be surprised at all if Hawthorn get it done too.

I don't understand why it is so lopsided - both club's are really quite unpredictable but not that far off each others level.

Freo could very easily beat the Dogs - it's not like they don't have something to play for too.

Freo are a far better team than that game against Brisbane suggests - they've beaten GWS in Sydney this year, GC on the GC, Collingwood in Melbourne and probably more I am forgetting, so getting it done on the road is not an issue.

Dogs got seriously pushed by Melbourne 2 weeks ago - and sure, they smashed a bare bones Eagles line up but anything less would have been stunning.

Freo by 25 - Dogs to give them just too much room to get creative with Shai Bolton kicking 3 and Nat Fyfe (not the sub) turning back the clock.
