How do I do this test. I bought anew laptop and im not that tech savvy if at all.

Head to speedtest.net and click on start test. You can copy an image afterwards to post in the thread.

Yours is pretty much same as mine Keystone agony. iinet syncing at around 12mb/s down - 1mb/s up, bout the best you'll get outside of cable (with a shitty data plan) or NBN.

Almost hit 4MBps, pretty sure I've the potential to hit 4.5

It actually was better on the 2nd test aswell. 0.89 upload and download around 14 from memory.

So I went from a 11-14 MBs Download speed and 0.89 Upload MBs speed ad PING 19 at the gfs house to my house where it went

Ping: 11 ms
D/load: 1.20 MBs
Upload: 0.19 MBs

She only has 1.5mb/256k ADSL1 by the looks of it

Am apparently going to be 100% fully connected to the NBN on Tuesday despite having the box outside on my house and inside and the next guy is coming to properly connect it in 2 days.

This will possibly be my last ever ADSL speed test and thank **** for that.

I always get about the same with my Optus cable. 19 down, 0.5 up.

If I pay for premium, I can get equal to and better than NBN, for downloads at least.

It's also 400Mb/s download + 250Mb/s upload on government computers I got my uncle to do it for me (in Adelaide)

An update to my previous speedtest towards the end of July:

You can imagine what browsing the internet is like on this kind of speed, long story short it's not much fun. The problem started annoying the crap out of me a few weeks ago where i would have a horrible browsing experience and i would get similar readings to the above but usually the speedtest would come good and i would end up with this result:

However my real time browsing experience didn't reflect the result.

It's super annoying for me.

Game over lads, may I present to you AARNet. Limited by the network card in this desktop "only" being gigabit and the gigabit link back to the switch. The rest of the network is 10gig.
