To be critical I would suggest;

# Too many starting rookies, Rich, Sidebottom, Hill and Ziebell, cut that back to 2.
# Sidebottom for Beams, at least at start of year
# I'm off Malceski personally, dont want to take the risk, took Marty Clarke, I'm biased, but he is going to improve on an 80 avg he got last year

Pretty good team though, if you adjust/upgrade 2 of those starting rookies, I'd almost lock it in for round 1 barring injuries/suspensions.

I'll admit my weakest area is my rucks, still contemplating on having Cox and a cheap 2nd yearer as back-up. Can proabably save a few $$$ by buying cheaper bench players, but havent done my research yet in regard to this. Still tossing up about Walker & Cousins (as i like many, thought he would be 50k cheaper) and my last 2 forwards.... But feel free to pick away.

If you are going to have Boomer anywhere you would have him in the forward line. Those consistant, gun midfielders who are forward eligible are gold, because even if they aren't kicking goals they can go get some possessions further up the ground. So if you don't end up downgrading him, try and swap him to the forward line somehow.

Few risky picks, but you gotta take em! You just never know. It will either set you up or set you back. McIntosh looked pretty slow the other night but he was out most of last season, might just need some match fitness.. Got some keepers and some cows, pretty solid team. I think its a must to have one rookie per line, besides rucks. You just gotta pick the right ones who are gonna make you some almight dollars!

I think this is where you need to pick players for each type of fantasy. Didak is obviously a DT gun, averaging 95 last year, but in SC he only averaged 91. Last night he scored 102 DT but only 59 SC (although it was a scrappy game). So I'd prefer pick someone that is more of a SC player than DT, eg. Leon Davis ($24k more than Dids) but that's just how I like to choose my team, obviously doesn't mean you should aswell.

I stand to be corrected but last season when Did's got suspended, I seem to recall flicking through the top 10 teams on Supercoach and noticing almost all of them had Didak and Shaw and only one or 2 having Ablett.

Like I said though, I could be wrong, just something I think I remember.

A lot of people had Dids last year because he improved his average from 69 in 07 to 91 in 08, so many people would've kept him beacause of this. I don't think he is worth $490k, so I won't be getting him this year (I had him last year).

Leo Barry is injured, get him out for someone like Houlihan/Malceski or anyone you like. Obst probably won't play aswell so look to get a rookie that has more chance of playing. Burton won't be ready round 1 and Welsh won't improve IMO. If you downgrade one or both Bateman and Johnstone you can fix up the forwards and backs.

Good team, but I wouldn't take Fev. He kicked 99 goals last year and still only averaged 85, how is he going to improve enough to become a keeper?
