Please give thoughts on my team guys keeping in mind that I'm using my forward line to make me some cash as these players have massive upsides... Still playing around with the team but here we go...

(Hill, Suban)

MIDS;
Bartel, Judd, Corey, Foley, Hasleby, Rich
(Beams, Robinson)

Cox, Hille
(J White, J Spencer)

Backline is very good in my opinion. Having Cornes as your 5th back is a great asset.

Midfield is solid as well, although your forwards are copping it in return. I would downgrade either Selwood or Kornes to Masten and upgrade Hentschel. Otherwise you have three potential players(Higgins, Skippy and Hentschel) that could either get injured or possibly dropped. You also have Ziebell as well who might not get a game the way Laidley coaches. :thumbsu:

Heres what im leaning towards;

Backs: Corey Enright, Lindsay Gilbee, Chad Cornes, Jed Adcock, Nick Malceski, Andrew Raines, Stephen Hill
Midfield: Gary Ablett, Chris Judd, Nathan Foley, Paul Hasleby, Chris Masten, Daniel Rich
Rucks: Dean Cox, Brad Ottens
Forwards: Brent Harvey, Matthew Pavlich, Lance Franklin, Brett Deledio, Shaun Higgins, Hayden Skipworth, Jack Ziebell
Bench: Nick Suban, Alex Rance, Dayne Beams, Mitch Robinson, Angus Graham, Sam Jacobs, Mitch Brown, Mitch Thorp

Not sold on Enright, but im hesitant on picking Newman and having to many Tigers in my team. I can counter this by downgrading Ablett to Bartel and using the money to upgrade Foley, but I think Foley is fantastic value for his price. Im also a bit shaky on my bench, but who isnt at this time of year? :thumbsu:

Defenders:

Goddard, Waite, P. Burgoyne, C. Cornes, Drummond, Houlihan, Grimes (Suban, Petrenko).

Midfield:

Judd, Ball, Gibbs, Wells, Foley, Otten (Anthony, Beams)

Rucks:
Cox, Tippett (Graham, Currie)

Forwards:

Deledio, Chapman, Richardson, Fevola, Higgins, Krakouer, Walker (Brown, Thompson)

I feel it is a fairly balanced team without too many expensive superstars, but I feel as though I have 15 players who can score 100 almost every week.

Looks pretty good mate.

BACKS: Drummond's an interesting one - very high risk, high reward and could pay off for you big time. I like your last three there - Grimes, Suban and Petrenko and Goddard and Cornes are obviously solid. Burgoyne I'm not sold on, but choice of premiums is up to you. Personally I would go for Raines over Houlihan if you could, but once again completely up to you in a somewhat 50/50 call.

CENTRES: I'm not sold on Ball at this stage and I think that you could do better with the cash. I like Judd, Gibbs and Wells a lot, especially Wells - a good unique pick there. Like Drummond he has the ability to reward you enormously. Foley's a good pick but I'm not sold on Otten. Very good bench in Anthony and Beams.

RUCKS: Cox is a superstar. Tippett is risky - if you could find the cash to upgrade to a Simmonds or McIntosh then I'd do that. Graham and Currie are good - I have the same bench.

FORWARDS: Lids, Chappy and Richo are all very good premiums but are also quite risky - especially Chappy. If he can get through the year injury free then in my opinion he'll be a bargain, but choose him at your own peril. Fevola gives away a lot of frees but has the ability to pull massive scores. Higgins is a good one - I think he'll have a good year this year, but I'm not sold on Kraks and Walker. Brown and Thompson being Mitch Brown and Wade Thompson? If so, very good - liking it.

Cheers in advance, appreciated.

pretty solid side. queries would be chad cornes? can he regain his form? chris yarran? i wouldnt think hes shown enough to be a regular in carltons 22. also johnson and lucas both big risks! maybe swap johnson for fev with better delivery this year should score alot higher. lucas? looks old and sluggish like hes way past it!!

my team is as follows

Back: Hodge Drummond Adcock Malceski Houlihan Raines Hill (A.Rance, Z.Dawson)
ive spent a lot of $$ forward and mids so cant improve backs that much. only thing im nto happy with is hill? what do u think ne1 else round price range that will play every week and score better

Mids: Judd Selwood Foley Hasleby T.Tuck Rich (Anthony, M.Robinson)
fairly happy. tuck hasleby and foley should improve considerably. i see a breakout season for selwood!

Rucks: Petrie Hille (Roughhead, Currie)
went without cox! just cause i think petrie will only avg. bout 10less pts and 100k cheaper

Forwards: N.Riewoldt Franklin N.Brown J.Brown Fev Higgins Skipworth (Ziebell, J.Grant)
strong forward line i think. any suggestions of who i should trade and who to?
only have 1k in the bank!! thanks....

Thanks for the input, mate. I reckon Cornes will get back to his best, yeah. I think that Yarran will get some games and I have Ziebell there as well, but very good points on Johnson and Lucas.

Who would you suggest in place of Lucas?

I'm also a big fan of Brennan, but is he injured?

mmm ive suggested to not go lucas and johnson but now youre asking who to replace them with. bit harder to do!! haha
now im no sc expert i avg. a tad uner 2100 last year but i would trade johnson for fev which means youd have 129k left and then id probly upgrade lucas to some1 but not sure who steviej, stokes, roughead, dale thomas, david hale.
and about brennan bit of a tough one. dunno if hes injured but i wouldnt touch him to inconsistent.

Does anyone know where i can find the Supercoach team rankings from last year?
I think Sydney were ranked 4th

Grimes has looked pretty good to date and is only $188,400... Once he jumps in cash i'll look to off load him.

I dunno about Chad Cornes in my team... I wonder if he can get back to his best!

Your starters look great but the subs don't all look like they will play many games.

Well guys, i need a hand. I'm more of a DT coach and this will be my 2nd year SC, reasonably happy last year with my 1st crack at SC.

I'm down to 2 teams now, any opinnions?

Goddard, Fisher, Gilbee, Chornes, Adcock, Raines, Hill (Suban/Broughton)

Ablett, Dalsanto, Foley, Cousins, Haselby, Anthony (Rich/Robinson)

Cox, Otten (Currie/jacobs)

Pav, Goodwin, Delidio, Houlihan, Higgins, Krackour, Yarran (Walker/Brown)

OR

Goddard, Fisher, Chornes, Adcock, mundy, Raines, Hill (Broughton/Suban)

Ablett, Judd, Goodes, Dalsanto, Haselby, Anthony (Rich/Robinson)

Cox, Hmac (Currie/Jacobs)

Pav, Harvey, Goodwin, Higgins, Skippy, Krackour, Yarran (Brown/Hogan)

Thoughts?

Am i way of the mark in SC terms?

Second team although they're very even.

Your subs might need a bit of work. Broughton I've never heard of, I'm not sure about Brown and I don't reckon Hogan will get much of a run down at the Cattery. Your better off going with Gumbleton and another player who may often play eg. Sidebottom.

Decent starting team. Not sure about Skippy, Mundy or Krackour so make sure they're the best fit for their price. Dropping Ablett for Bartel might free up a bit of room to upgrade another player. How much do you have left in the cap?

regarding the poster who was putting his team together I kept hitting a brick wall untill I restructured the way I put the team together by starting of by picking one or two players I wanted then as the team took shape I would take a player that was a 50-50 and see what other players were based around that price.

Another thing I tried to do was have one Hawthorn and Geelong player in each line returning to the first point I choose Jamie Bartel for he is every bit as good as Ablett but was a little cheaper.

I think some players were over valued.

Backline: Hodge (Haw) Houli (Ess) Brown (Haw) Harley (Gee) Ryder (Ess) Myers (Ess) Houghton (St.K)
bench: Hurley (Ess) T.Slattery (Ess)

Midfield: Bartel (Gee) Stanton (Ess) Bateman (Haw) Lockyer (Coll) Rich (B.L) Zieball (N.M)
Bench: Sidebottom (Coll) Beams (Coll)

Forward-line: Franklin (Haw) Chapman (Gee) Roughthead (Haw) Skipper (W.B) Fevola (Car) Jetta (Ess) Neagle (Ess)
Bench: Grant (W.B) Gumbleton (Ess)

Ruck: Hill (Ess) Ottens (Gee)
Bench: Minson (W.B) Leuenberger (B.L)

Bombermania, 10 Essendon players isn't healthy......1 Essendon player isn't healthy. Joke :D. but still, you need to cut back on the Bombers players.

I know what you mean but I kepted running out of money and when I looked at the alternative players around the cost of several of these players I went for what I knew

Team:
Backs: Hodge, C Cornes, Malceski, Houlihan, Hurn, Raines, Hill
Subs: Greenwood, McKernan

Midfield: Bartel, Judd, Cooney, Gibbs, Adcock, Masten
Subs: Robinson, Rich

Rucks: Charman, Mcintosh
Subs: Naitanui, Cordy

Forward: Pavlich, Riewoldt, J Brown, Fevola, Lucas, Higgins, Ziebell
Subs: W Thompson, Gumbleton

I choose Pavlich instead of Frankin. Do you reckon he will perform better?
How do use rate Adcock?

How is my team looking? any changes i should look at making?

Looks OK, though I I can I'd suggest the following:

* bit of an overreliance on premier power KP fwds. No goals means few points.
* Charman and NickNat unlikely for R1 and possible some rounds after that. Ottens?
* Hurn? Nah.
* Prefer Adcock as a defender, if at all

all the best

Just traded Charman And Naituni For Ottens And Sam Jacobs.
Also traded Lucas For J Riewoldt.
Anyone i should look at getting for Hurn? I Have $74,000 left over.
Also will Wade Thompson play many games for Port

What are peoples thoughts on my team i have 40K in the bank

DEF: Goddard, Enright, C Cornes, Drummond, Adcock, Malceski, Hill (Suban, Petrenko)
MID: Ablett, Judd, S Burgoyne, Higgins, Rich, Robinson (Beams, Davenport)
RUCK: Cox, McIntosh (Spencer, Graham)
FWD: Riewoldt, Pavlich, Franklin, Chapman, Houlihan, Skipworth, Ziebell (Thompson, Brown 'wc')

chopper41, i like your team ...i have also gone with beams. rance, rich and currie for my emergencys....i think they are all going to get good game time early although i'm slightly unsure about beams...do you have a solid reason for putting him in or is it just a rough guess?

Here's my team guys, would love your comments...

Backline - Gilbee, Bock, C Cornes, Johncock, Malceski, Houlihan, Schoenmakers
Bench - A Rance, N Suban

Midfielders - Ablett, Bartell, Cross, Sewell, Gibbs, Rich
Bench - P Dangerfield, D Beams

Rucks - H McIntosh, M Jamar
Bench - T Vickery, D Currie

Forwards - B Harvey, Pavlich, Deledio, S Lucas, Veszpremi, S Higgins, C Yarran
Bench - J Grant, S Gumbleton

Cash in Bank $11 500

I know my midfield is stacked but as i see it, i'm better of to start with ablett and bartell than have to make 2 trades each to get enough cash to buy them later...

I'm pretty sure most of my rookies will do well although am a little unsure on suban, schoenmakers and beams....i was thinking pertrenko might be another good option....what are your thoughts on these guys? I'm not sure whether i should get rid of johncock and schoenmakers and get 2 $280 000 players that will play every week.

not quite sure about johncock but for that kind of money he's about the best i could find for my backline if i'm going to keep schoenmakers.

anyway guys, anythoughts would be greatly appreciated...

Not bad mate...

Shoenmakers won't play too much this year so I def wouldnt start him on the field...
The risk on taking Johncock could be awesome if he fires again... massive risk but thats what this game is all about... in saying that i think you need a big gun in the backline..

Anyway just my thoughts on your side.. i like it mate..

Can I get yours or someones thoughts on mine...?
