I have doubts over Shaw and Hansen..for their price range. ;)

How much do you have left in the bank?

Jackson I've been tracking since Nab cup round 1 and he's had some great stats for his price range. Lovett has been awesome also. These two players I think are worth more than the SC asking price given their form.

Fair enough on the Lovett Jackson scenario had a look into NAB form and they seem to be solid selections :thumbsu:

Confident with Shaw, if he can cope with a tag will be a steal at his price... Hansen was an inclusion for the injured Veszpremi... i think he can improve his average to at least 75-80 meaning that he will make me at least some cash as i see know 1 else in that range worth selecting. Should play most games

I saw Judd play against the roos in the nab and judd looked amazing...
bartel is steady but how long will it be until selwood becomes geelong's #2 midfield playmaker...

if gazza can average 125-130 (odds look pretty good), that becomes 250-260 as a captain.... questions is, do you pay 712k for 250 points a week....

I figure my midfield was a bit overdone, got rid of thompson and birchall for goddard and vince

Question should be can you find two guys at $355K each that will score 125 each? Or three at $235K who can score 83.33333? Every week? If you can, PM me ;)

Back: Hodge Drummond Adcock Malceski Houlihan Raines Hill (A.Rance, Suban)

Mids: Judd Selwood Foley Hasleby Reilly Rich (Anthony, Beams)

Rucks: Petrie Hille (Roughhead, Currie)

Forwards: N.Riewoldt Franklin N.Brown J.Brown Fev Higgins Skipworth (Sidebottom

im fairly happy with this team. thoughts very much appreciated?

There's too much of a colour mix in your forwasrd line leaving it looking a tad too Brown.

Strong backline, i have no faults with it, except maybe have a look at goddard?
Strong midfield, but it may be a good idea to downgrade a forward to upgrade a midfielder, as they tend to score more.
Good ruck combination, both look to have a good year.
Forward seems too strong. I'd downgrade someone like riewoldt or jbrown, who probs wont stay at that value, and improve reilly in your midfield.

This is my team: i have 135,000 left over. Not sure where to spend it. Also, Judd v Bartel? Skippy v Houlihan? Should i have Richo? Suggestions?

Defence: Goddard, Gilbee, C.Cornes, Drummond, Malceski, Raines, Hill
Res: Petrenko, Suban

Midfield: Judd, Dal Santo, J.Selwood, M.Murphy, Foley, Rich
Res: Robinson, Beams

Ruck: Hille, McIntosh
Res: Currie, Spencer

Forward: Deledio, Richo, Fevola, T. Cloke, Skipworth, Higgins, Krakouer
Res: Brown, Walker

Plz comment.

Just spent 5 minutes putting a team together just then. What do you think? 75K left in the bank.

Backline: Goddard, Fisher, Enright, Cornes, Raines, Grimes, Hill (Suban, Petrenko)
Midfield: Bartel, Judd, Selwood, Gibbs, Hasleby, Rich (Anthony, Robinson)
Ruck: Cox, McIntosh (Graham, Spencer)
Forwards: Pavlich, Deledio, Chapman, Richardson, Higgins, Krakouer, Ziebell (Brown, Walker)

Thoughts appreciated.

I think having Raines, Grimes and Hill all starting is a bit of a risk, however this game really is about taking risk's so it could pay out for you.

I like your midfield, can't say a bad word about it.

Ruck's seem strong but not too sure about the emergencys.

Forward line looks strong aswell, overall I think your team is a keeper.

Backline: L. Hodge, B. Goddard, C. Cornes, J. Adcock, N. Malceski, A. Raines, S. Hill (N. Suban, A. Rance)

Midfield: C. Judd, D. Cross, J. Selwood, D. Kerr, P. Hasleby, D. Rich (D. Beams, T. Swift)

Ruck: D. Hille, M. Leuenburger (J. Spencer, S. Jacobs)

Forward: B. Harvey, M. Pavlich, B. Deledio, D. Giansiracusa, S. Higgins, N. Krakouer, T. Hentschel (J. Ziebell, C. Yarran)

thoughts?

Mate, that team was days ago. LOL. Millions of changes since then.
Your side:
Backs: Very strong. I (an inexperienced player) would maybe look to downgrade Hodge and upgrade Adcock, but that's just me.
Mids: Kerr is a risk. Personally, I think there are better options as he is a loose cannon, but with great risk comes great reward, so your call. Have you considered Liam Anthony?
Rucks: Obviously you've gone for the cost-effective approach here. Quite risky again, but I like it.
Forwards: Too much money on the bench I think. I recommend moving one of Ziebell or Yarran on the field in place of Hentschel, which should give you the money to upgrade Cross to Bartel.

Hope that helps.

My latest side (names bolded indicate locked in for Rnd 1, barring injury):
Backs: Goddard, Fisher, Gilbee, Cornes, Malceski, Raines, Hill (Rance, Suban)
Mids: Ablett, Judd, Selwood, Gibbs, Hasleby, Rich (Anthony, Robinson)
Rucks: Ottens, McIntosh (Currie, Spencer)
Forwards: Pavlich, Deledio, Chapman, Richardson, Higgins, Krakouer, Ziebell (Brown, Walker)

I think it is a very strong side on paper, but I have a few issues with it:
1. Why does having Gilbee concern me so much? Ideally, I'd like to upgrade to Enright. Apart from that, rapt with the backline. Only change over the past six weeks has been Grimes out.
2. I see Ablett as a necessity, especially with the revelation that he'll be rested in the forward line this year. I can see him springing up with a couple of goals every game on top of his multitude of possies. The pricetag, however, leaves other areas of my team slightly lacking. Would a downgrade to Bartel be a problem?
3. Gone slightly cold on Mitch Robinson in the past few weeks? Is Dayne Beams a better option?
4. I've gone for a different ruck approach to the majority of people on here. I do not have the safe ruckman you can rely on so much, as Ottens and McIntosh are obviously both coming back from injury. Does this ruck lineup let the overall team down or does it have the potential to be my strongest point with a couple of upgrades?
5. Jacobs or Spencer?
6. Chapman's paper hamstrings scare me slightly. I'd like to think this is the biggest risk in my side. He is 90% locked in.
7. Richo, too old? I can see him carving up again this year, but still a little concerned. Again, probably 90% locked in.
8. The three cheap forwards is not pleasing to look at. I'm on board for Higgins, and I rate Ziebell, but I'm not completely sold on Krakouer. Veszpremi's injury effectively locks him in, as the next player I'd consider is over $100k more expensive.
9. Is Taylor Walker the best option for my forward-line bench?

Best team I've seen on here in the past 3 months :thumbsu: Should average close to 2000 without captain ;)
it took you 5 minutes , hell its almost identical to mine and Ive been working on it for a month. backs are a little different , but mostly the same. You should win the SC grand prize with that for sure. lol

This is version 2 of my team

Hodge Goddard McDonald Cornes Houlihan Raines Hill em Suban Patrenko

Bartel Judd Selwood Kerr Otten Rich em Ziebel Beams

Petrie Lade em Spencer Pyke

Harvey Franklin Chapman Gia Higgins Skipworth Krakouer em Walker Brown

I think im just going to leave it at that, not a huge fan of supercoach but my mates are so i thought i'd be a sport and pick a team.

Friends'll have a little bit to worry about I'd think. Very solid side.

this is my second go at this years team... thoughts?

Forward line could really kill you. Stokes, Roughead and Fev are all in that 'keeper' price range and all can be very inconsistent.

Not sure about Zeibell. Better off starting a 94k rookie who will most likely play like Brown and Walker. Or, spend a little more and upgrage to Yarran.

My team:
Backs: Goddard, Cornes, Drummond, Malceski, Houlihan, Raines, Hill (Suban, Dawson)
Mids: Ablett, Bartel, Judd, J.Selwood, Haselby, Rich (Beams, Anthony)
Rucks: Hille, Ottens (Currie, Spencer)
Forwards: Pavlich, Franklin, Deledio, Chapman, Higgins, Skipworth, M.Brown (Walker, Gumbleton)

that team is amazing
although maybe (cant believe im saying this) drop one of your geelong midfielders they cant all do great on every round

i removed charman for mcintosh and robert murphy for fev
36k left in bench

I think having rookies on your bench is a bad idea!!!! you would be better off upgrading to 94k and players who will play. your saving a little bit of cash and giving yourself no chance to make money.

can someone please explain to me how you insert the pic of ur team! it looks so much easier

Step 1: Press the 'Print Screen' button when looking at your team
Step 2: Control + V into MS Paint and Save
Step 3: Upload to a hosting site, Imageshack is the most popular
Step 4: Right Click on your team and select 'Copy Image Location'
Step 5: When posting a reply on BF, go 'Insert Image' and paste the image location address in the box. And your done.

Sounds complicated when you explain it, but it takes no longer than a minute to do.

Mids: Ablett, Bartel, Judd, Selwood, Hasleby, Anthony (Beams, Robinson)

Forwards: Pavlich, Deledio, Chapman, Fevola, Riewoldt, Higgins, Brown (Thorp, Walker). Obviously I've removed all expensive rookies to upgrade a few.
Anyone? I've already helped someone else...

This is my team; I have 48,700 left over. Not too sure about Richo, Chapman and Skippy. Suggestions?

richo and skippy will be fine

im cautious on chappy because over the past few years hes had numerous soft tissue injuries

Murphy is a worry gets alot of it but his disposal can let him down at times. And whats with Fev will need to kick 6-7 goals a week to generate scores of 100+ better options out there i believe

Never, ever put Luke Hodge in your midfield.

Drummond / Enright > Hodge
Hodge > J. Selwood , Dal Santo etc take your pick

There will always be more value and a greater selection in the midfield than anywhere else.
