If all players test negative, then surely can go ahead with no crowds.
With no AFL & VFL crossover allowed.
Assume they need to clear change rooms of all AFL persons, disinfect prior to VFL players/coaches arrive??
Maybe cannot be done effectively??

So game Called Off or Pushed a Week Back
With the fixture aligned to the AFL program it will be difficult to push the VFL back one week. That seems to be the way they're leaning with the VFLW though.

For the VFL with clubs having byes on different weekends it's hard to imagine where this round can be slotted back in. The only option seems to be at the end of the scheduled fixture, however that weekend is currently the bye round before AFL finals.

Back to some mid week footy?

With all our unavailable players this week I'm less disappointed about this being postponed.

It's 6 of 1, 1/2 dozen the other though isn't it. We also need to be getting as much footy into the kids as we can possible manage. Hopefully the game gets rescheduled instead of 1 of our byes.

I don't think a few weeks off in the middle of the season is the worst thing for Henry, McMahon, Macrae, Ginnivan and Chugg.

If we don't make up this game later on then that would be annoying, cause you're right that we need to get as much footy into Rantall, Ruscoe, Kelly and Keane as we can this year.

Would not be fair for other VFL/AFL Teams IF this was the only game that went ahead

Wouldn't it be about rescheduling some of the byes of those other clubs?

So this is effecively one of our byes.

Back to back byes. Certainly not ideal but at least it gets them over and done with.

Probably not that smart of the VFL to start the season so late and have byes so early in the year. They would have been better off forging ahead and getting the games out of the way while they can. If all goes well they just bring finals forward to August!!

Not as if they wouldn’t have been able to foresee that something like this might happen
