Hi, just a quick note to let you all know that ODNs and myself have been appointed as co-mods of the RL board.

We do ask that if you post in here that you show a bit of respect for the game - same rules as posting abuse in another team's board. If you genuinely have something to contribute, no worries. If you are obviously trolling, or a "local" requests that your post be removed, we will remove or lock threads/posts. I'm not going to say that you can't say anything bad about RL at all in here, but people who frequent this board for the right reasons have the final say.

Just show a bit of respect, is all.

I hope this means that you aren't going to censor what posters put here. On the whole i agree with you, and I admit I have been guilty of baiting on occassions, however, the last two threads i started here were genuine observations on the state of RL.

The locals here have rose coloured glasses when it comes to RL. I am not a troller, I was born and bread in Sydney and actually played the game at a competitive level (a lot more than can be said about most of the supporters here).

If I feel justified in critisising an aspect of RL, I hope you just wont delete it if someone doesn't agree with with what I post.
I dont personally attack anyone, just the bad points of the game I once loved.
If this is in appropriate, will the same rule apply to the footy forum, or is it just for the precious RL forum?

You just seem to attack the game in general.Maybe you got cut by some team or something but if you don't like it anymore why comment??

As posters have pointed out, the RL forum was one of the few where you'd get away with your kind of behaviour.

Joffaboy, there is a fuzzy line somewhere, and as long as you mostly keep on the right side of it, any constructive comments or suggestions on the game should be allowed, indeed encouraged. I'm not in the habit of deleting posts just because I disagree with them - just ensure you make your point and move on.

Absolutely not, you can only be booted for bagging the Sharks or at a pinch the Broncs!

I bet if I can convince JOffa to come and watch the Doggies at the GraveYard against the Storm, some of his passion would return.

Joffa, when the Doggies played at the GraveYard this year, a heap of Doggies supporters came down from Sydney and they really enjoyed their day and their night at the Storms social club after the game with Storm supporters.

You can do the same next year

I will only be abusive if people make up facts and belittle our game by talking **** and making up lies as if they know what they are talking about.
Only a limited few in Victoria or SA, WA know anything about our great game, notably Ms.Storm. All the others seem to be tag alongs who don't really have a clue.

thats true tutaki, i hate it as well, but please dont resort to abuse, we already have joffa trashing the league board.

as many on this board will attest (esp ms. storm) i can sometimes be critical of the direction the NRL is taking the game. i however never make up blind statements or lies. if you ever do have a problem with something, that is fine with me, but please put forward your point of view, rather than resort to slander when you hear something you dont like

i do however thank god gallop is now in charge rather than that imbosile moffett. but the game is still run very poorly IMO, and has a long way to go to get back on track, and be the dominant sport it once was.

The media/press in Melb. don't make up stories to discredit rugby league, but usually only point out the bad news stories re the game, e.g. Hopoate, the Bulldogs salary saga, drugs, etc......you very rarely hear about how good the recent g/final was, or about any of the players, etc.....its a real puzzle to me
