Sorry to barge in like this but IF it's true and you get the right replacement this is the best for Saints and Ross

Saints club and players get a new direction, new lease on life, new motivation, and new energy I think they've desperately need.

Ross also needs a new challenge, renewed energy, to me he looked jaded.

A change is as good as a holiday - both need it deseperately

As for my pick go with Neale if he doesn't get the crows job - understudy to MM and is cherry ripe to be a next new coach

Whatever happens good luck and I hope to see you guys with the lions in the finals 2012

Gary Ayres would be fantastic for the players psychology, which is a massively under-rated facet of coaching. As long as we had a stong tactical assistant (Laidley maybe) who has been around AFL clubs recently, I think he would be worth a go.

Didn't Tudor leave because Ross was difficult to work with? And keep in mind people this thread is just hypothetical. I would love for Ross to stay.

Yeah and so did Luke Ball and Elshaug and Silvagni, and Gilbert hooked up with a girl at an School clinic and got her pregnant while sharing her with Armo and Ricky Nixon, while Dawson and Riewoldt were going at it in the other end of the room, then they all ran down the street urinating on windows and taking drugs.

If you can sort out the facts from that, well done.

What would you know about facts or humour for that matter ?

Media beat up, the "Ross was difficult" line was towed to every assistant who left, despite Eslhaug then returning and it being revealed he took time off for personal reasons instead of Ross being difficult, it was then revealed later than that that S.O.S was going to leave at the end of '09 (?) and was talked into staying one more year making the only person that might have applied to being either Tudor or Rock and hey 2/5 or so is still great odds.

Effectively I don't see Tudor as a career assistant, I see him as a man who likes a challenge but also aspires to hold the reigns in his own right, hence he's either still getting experience (hence shifting to numerous clubs) or building contacts.

Thats how I see it too. He left Geelong for a better role at StKilda. Gets more experience at Geelong ( and is apparently was/is very good friends with Longmire )

So, if I was to lose my legs in a horrific x-box accident, what would I do... hypothetically?

Why worry about crap, when said crap hasn't even happened yet? What, we haven't got enough crap to worry about without worrying about hypothetical crap?

True. Even if Nettleford has a contingency plan in his head, it would be inappropriate to approach other candidates unless Ross does announce his departure. Without talking to the candidates you dont really know whether they are open to the idea or not.

More than that, SS, why do you and I need to be worrying about it? As fans, we have other things to reflect on this off season - we've got the forward line issues, to start with. I'm spending my recreational energy thinking through real issues that already exist. I don't have time or energy to waste on issues that haven't even happened yet, and may well not occur.

If Lyon departs, fine, let's get into this thread. But for now, I say ignore.

I have it on good authority ( my wife ) that its all a waste of time Perse.:D

I'm spending my recreational energy hunting down the SoB that stole my morning paper from my yard, so that I might show my love for their shenanigans by reciting how my roses are both white, pinkish and red, the violets at the childcare centre blue, and I'm going to beat your arse with a rake.

Good thing it's only the freebie Age, but it's the principle of the matter, pretty desperate to jump a fence just for a newspaper.

Have our wives been talking? ;)

(I shouldn't say that, my wife is really supportive of me having detox time on here...)

Is that you, Ayresy?

Go for Malthouse, Malthouse does NOT want to be Director of Coaching bullshit position, nor does Bucks want him there I'd suspect, Malthouse is a hand's on guy.

GET HIM

Malthouse is too old to go thru a rebuild. The irony would be delicious, but won't happen.

Would like to see us go for another untried coach. Tudor, Neeld, Burns, SOS.
Sanderson is as good signed apparently for the Dogs.

Laidley
Craig
Harvey.

Do not want.

Although i'd handle Eade. And Choco. Choco would be good.

And don't thing Rob Harvey is ready yet, and interims never work.
