That feeling that by 2022 we could have two Burgoynes and a wanganeen playing for us again... that's awesome
I hope the recent scandals have ended any chance of Tex become a Bomber and we get him.

So Mitchell Mead is the first player eligible for us next year. It looks like he's been playing a bit in the SANFL Colts for WWT so I guess he's a possibility. This will probably interest supporters more though:

Three sons of AFL stars in SA under-15 side
SOUTH Australia’s team at this week’s under-15 national football championships will be a blast from the past as well as glimpse into the future.

The Croweaters will be spearheaded by Trent Burgoyne, son of Port Adelaide AFL premiership player Peter Burgoyne, Luke Edwards, whose father Tyson Edwards played 321 games for Adelaide, and Jackson Mead, son of former Power half-back Darren Mead.

Jackson is already a 6 footer at 14. Runs around on the wing a bit. Gun.

Jackson is the most promising of the f/s in that age group - 2019 draft. Has played most positions thru his junior grades but is undoubtedly best running through the middle. When you see him run around you'd swear it was Darren, very similar running and kicking styles. At this point, I'd take Jackson over Trent altho Trent has had a bit of a horror run in getting on the park 100%.

Sorry should have elaborated. He plays football for Henley sharks.

No, Jackson doesnt. Not anymore anyways. PHOS boy. Good size (KPP), athletic and can take a grab but I'm not sure he is 100% committed to football.

The one to look out for though is Choppy's nephew, Cozzie. Kid is an absolute star in the making IMO. Balance, explosiveness and skill....in the thickest of packs. Pity we cant nominate nephew/sons, even if Choppy didnt play enough games for us.

Its a long way for these kids to go but its a nice crop if they continue their development.

2019 and 2020 is looking like there is a good group of kids coming through from SA. There's even a few KPP  that are looking promising.

So do we know if Mitchell Mead is chance to be FS drafted by us this year? Is he good enough? It looks like he played a few u18 games for WWT last year so I can only assume he's going to have a crack at being drafted this year.
