Potential training breach?

Does this mean that the Vic media are starting to tone done their collective outrage?

I’d be ok with 4 points, as long as we don’t get the spoon. Seriously I could deal with 17th. I have almost zero interest left in this season
I'd rather 4 points than a fine.
Who cares to be honest.

I've said it a bunch of times but Whateley is as tabloid and sensational as they come. What makes him worse than the others is he tries to appear as he is some interlect voice of reason.

The weak stance from the club is the final straw for many it seems and there are many more who were already out, pretty sad.

I'm calling the club on Monday and cancelling.

Seeya!

Nicky Dal, Dunstall and Hudson basically saying it's all bullshit. Dunstall reckons the "getting an advantage" talk is total crap in that fox footy footage at the link.

Also said the AFL rule about having to train in groups of 2 if you’re allowed 10 in your state is ridiculous too, good to see Chief speak up on our behalf and cut through the bs

see here we are again, another completely bullshit story that got national headlines.

but no one is going to remember that it wasn't a big deal, they are just going to remember the Crows admitting to breaching some nonsense rule.

all because our spineless club refuses to show any intestinal fortitude.

it's pretty easy to see why we recruit like we do and fail like we do when our offield team is as meek as it is.

Overreaction much

Hard to see the AFL issuing a fine given we have been calling on members to not ask for a refund, maybe a suspended fine. The other thing they might do is fine the players. I think it will be four premiership points which isn't going to make a difference this year. It might be embarrassing to finish the season minus four points though.

More tidbits this morning.

- Ben Hart was the assistant up there (lol)
- Permission for the quarantine hub was granted by AFL and SAPOL.
- Did running session in pairs
- Then broke up into 2 groups of 8 for skills.

Someone is blaming the lack of clarity in rules.
So is this a new thing we’re trying this year?

Dunstall is a good one to have onside actually. Holds some clout.

Actually maybe he can take some of the blame. If the review had gone further, Hart might have already been moved on.

The loss of premiership points or draft picks are penalties that should be imposed only when a team has been found guilty of cheating. For example, salary cap infringements or Essendon style drug scandals.
What the Crows are accused of can not be be deemed as cheating or even gaining an unfair advantage. Stupid, yes .... careless, yes ... unprofessional, absolutely.
A fine, possibly suspended, would suffice
To suggest otherwise would be either over dramatic or influenced by bias
Believe me, it's BIAS all right. Over here in WA we are well and truly used to Vic bias.
Not going to happen but I would love to see our two clubs join forces with you guys and tell the AFL/VFL to bash their biased operation up their clacker and we sit out games until things change.

Maybe we should get a non victorian club survey for members to sign recommending change.

Can’t read this article, I’m guessing it’s our best friend who wrote it?

FWIW, Robbo said on 5AA that it should be something like a suspended 50k fine, which seems reasonable.

50k fine is not reasonable. The whole thing is ridiculous. Hart is a ****ing idiot, we all know that. I will be happy with him being sacked. He shouldn't be an assistant coach anyway so we should use his **** up to get rid of him. We received no benefit from the incident and no one was harmed. It was obviously a careless mistake by an ex player masquerading as a competent coach. Spare me the victorian media overreaction bullshit. We all know if this was Collingwood or hawthorn it wouldn't even last longer than half a day.

Have no idea who this bloke is but he seems quite particular with details here, so would be odd to make up. Has a decent follower base which includes Penbo, Rowey and Bicks and the Crows:

If that’s all it is, anything more than a suspended fine would be too large.

Sadly when the VFL was on its knees, the time to have had a truly national and fair competition was when our Clubs were formed.

There was a part of me hoping that the AFL would have been destroyed by the coronavirus and leading to a new truly National and fair footy competition.

Certainly seems like a storm in a teacup.

I'm more interested in who leaked the story to Manure.

As we were the only guests staying there surely it would have to be staff member that lagged on us. If so isn't this a breach of their guests privacy?

You would think the resort and their employees would be thankful for any work at this stage.

16 guys x 14 days for accommodation and meals would be a nice earner.

I think I read it was initially reported by a golfer playing on an adjoining course.

Ahh, fair enough. I thought if they were training on the course then it was closed for golf.

I couldn't imagine someone driving past seeing guys OMG look at those Crows players standing too close to each other.
It seems weird that a random golfer sees this and immediately thinks of an AFL rule the wider public probably don’t know about. Adam Kelly skirted around who it was on 5AA this arvo, just said it definitely wasn’t from within the club.
