Potential training breach?

Wouldn't be surprised if Croc of shit media booked out the whole golf course next to the crows hotel once they mentioned they were quarantining their. That radio mess is in freefall which is nice to see. My advice to ppl is don't listen to the fake vic outrage in the media. I see this story for what it is. Fake news. Could be best summed up with "Dickhead ex player shows why he shouldn't have been gifted a job."

Just let him have the last say and let him swagger away with his pecker upright feeling pretty damn good about himself
I'm.not sure he would be capable of that, he just seems so sad all the time.

Want to stay on topic please guys?

Your personal attacks don't really bother me so you're just wasting your time and I don't intend to stoop to your level.

You'd have to climb actually.

Thanks for giving a bit of truth to this discussion, the facts are we don't know who leaked to the media, I suspect as you do some form of subterfuge certainly!

If I could correct "The Vic media outrage" it is not fake, it is real, they genuinely hate the Adelaide Football club and most anything South Australian! The Vic media over blows and exaggerates any issue to do with Adelaide undoubtedly, some members of the Vic media hatred is so bad it's actually funny when you hear them, of course they have no self awareness of it at all and get most irate when it's pointed out e.g. Sam McClure.

Genuine mistakes and all this does put in focus the performance of the person the club left in charge of this event, obviously questions need to be asked internally.

Aside from this though the reaction is so overblown as to be farcical the reactions that have been printed and talked about etc...

I would bet that many clubs have accidentally breached the rules but it's been kept quiet!

Personally, no, I’m not outraged at it. But I’ve already noticed one poster here that was.

And that’s the point isn’t it. Someone could easily take that the wrong way. So at best, it’s unprofessional. At worst - it could be taken as pretty creepy.

How about this - our club is right in the national spotlight today. I think that for now, I’ll just stay off social media as I’m the COO.

If you're talking about me, I'm not outraged.

Icked out and ashamed that our COO can so casually come off as a creepy, inept baboon - yes.

But outraged, no.

I'd replace 'come off as' with 'is' but otherwise this mirrors my sentiment.

All this shit is, is an opportunity to tie "Adelaide" and "unfair advantage" together in a way that deflects from the actual conversations that should be had about unfair advantage in this league.

And I guaran-*******-tee you that the "outraged" football clubs these Vic-written articles refer to all reside within one god-damned mother******* state.

100%. As soon as there is real discussion about the advantages that Victorian teams get they will do anything to curb or deflect it. I remember a couple of years ago there was genuine momentum about changing the grand final to having the higher placed team host it so what did they do? Rush through a 40 year MCG deal so they can say too bad it is locked in there is no point talking about it.

How can they actually justify stopping the teams that can train a couple of weeks earlier when the WA teams are probably going to have to play home games in Melbourne against Melbourne teams.

But of course when the hub was going to be in SA they were reporting that they wanted Adelaide and Port Adelaide to go to a different hub because it is too unfair.

I don't know, perhaps that question should be directed to the club.

But the police statement is pretty clear, they did not have permission to leave their rooms.

So who do you think is more credible? The police or the AFL club with a history of lying in its public statements?

For all I know we went there thinking it was out of the public eye specifically so we could break quarantine. It certainly wouldn't be the dumbest thing the club has done recently, though it'd likely make the top 5 list.
Look Mate the Police were investigating whether the Crows broke the 10 person rule and the social distancing rule. which they did not, They were not investigating if they broke quarantine rules because they had permission to train outdoors, it the biggest single reason the Crows Choose the location, and booked the crouse,

Again the Crows had permission from SAPOL to train outside. provided they do not break the 1.5 and max 10 person rule.

Does SENSA still exist?
If yes is Rucci hosting drive still?

Basically there has been two angles about why this skills session breach is to be abhorred

1) - The unfair advantage angle because VIC clubs can't train in groups
2) - The threat to public safety because of returning interstate players being outside

If you were to accept either of the above two issues as a genuine concern, then you can only conclude that you must cancel the whole goddamn season

You can't in one breathe condemn the above, and then in the next attempt to try to get the league playing again within 6 weeks or so - They completely condradict either other

I wouldn't care if the season was cancelled, personally

I believe the club said it was cheaper for them to all stay there, rather than the club having to organise food or training programs for 16 people in their own homes (or something similar to that).
Fair enough although my spider senses find it hard to believe it was more cost efficient. Just another point, did we not appoint someone recently to ok things like this after the camp. Could be wrong.

You realize that while people who particpate in esports and people who are twitch streamers do overlap somewhat on the Venn diagram they aren't the same thing?

It also doesn't excuse things at all.

If one of our Crows officials went along to a AFLW game and made creepy comments to a player it'd still be inappropriate. Them both being involved in football doesn't change that.
What a load of crap...

If you want to see it cut and dry, compare the police response - which comes across as bemused that anyone even reported it - to the "football world's" response (Victoria).

Can you imagine what sort of unfair edge we will have gained having mostly 1st-4th year players training 15-30m apart in one pre season session? We'll go undefeated!
And a goodly percentage of them wouldn't be in serious selection consideration either.

There's a massive law suit in this against the afl if we're penalised. The afl cant override our state goverment laws.

Its interesting reading victorians going off about this. Many of think James hird did no wrong. Or dusty got fed as a kid from proceeds of crime is fine . Or Gary ablett told a teenage girl she was sniffing cocaine and he knew it was heroin because he could phuq her how he liked, but she died.

Its an interesting point you raised, that I wish was raised in the AFL media. I too have considered this issue.

It is unacceptable for the Crows to train (within the rules of SA) but they can leave and re-enter SA when the season commences. If anything, if there is going to be a second wave of the Coronavirus in our state it is going to definitely come from people entering/reentering SA.
