If he said it feel free to quote it (and provice a source link). Because it wasn't in the interview I read.
ABC.
Commissioner Stevens said the incident was a result of a lack of communication and understanding.
"There was some level of miscommunication or misunderstanding in relation to what the quarantine obligations were and what approvals had been in place at the time," he said.
"That's been clarified now so they can continue to train in a way that is consistent with their elite sports requirements."

Also maybe the simple fact is they were investigated and SAPOL found no charges,

End of the Day they had permission by SAPOL to train its the reason they were quarantined at Novertal Barossa and not sent to the Foster family or the local accommodation.

Plenty more haven't though
So are you saying because you were a half decent footballer that should disqualify you from holding a position on Club Boards or Club Administration positions?

Personally I don't see it as any form of impediment to either scenario, it's all down to being competent in whatever position the person holds.

In fact in most positions I think it can be an advantage.

so your argument is the miscommunication or misunderstanding was on the part of the police and not the Crows? I am highly highly sceptical.

Also SA police have said why they didn't lay charges, becuase they used their discretion and made it an 'education' opporunity

I'd say you should have to go through the same process normal people would.

They don't.

Plenty have...

Neil Balme, Brendan Gale, Chris Grant, Peter Bell, Steve Hocking, Simon Garlick, Keith Thomas just off the top of my head.
I think you're over rating some football ability here.

Steve Hocking, Gale, Garlick weren't champions

So the predominantly Victorian AFL media is up in arms because a South Australian team broke a rule designed to protect Victorian clubs, is that right?

Part of me is glad we did. It's just a pity we got caught. The Melbourne based clubs enjoy benefits due to their city's larger population, like fixturing and attracting players of quality, it's about time we got some benefit for the opposite reason.

They genuinely don't know how to punish us. It's like the camp, all the media figured we would get reamed.

We didn't.

And the camp was worse.
Neil Balme was dead set Champion......Champion at snotting blokes. I'll never forget a match at Adelaide Oval against the Panthers where I've never seen someone throw so many haymakers in a pack in such a short space of time. He could football a bit too but he was over the hill by then and resorted to really dirty football.

If they ban the players we'll struggle to get a team on the park especially with multiple games per week, and with Stengle already gone for 4.
If they fine us it can't be too much because all the clubs are basically broke this year.
They could sack the Chairman but that would give us an unfair advantage.

Haha imagine the team we put on the ground in the SANFL Comp if that happens, we'll have to top up up with some of the Gaza lads.
