I think some were pushing for an even severe sanction and make an "example" of us to the community, hence why the AFL delayed the announcement that was expected last night but common sense happened here.

I think that point was Sunday afternoon. Looks like something happened immediately after that changed the course of events pretty significantly. Hopefully Adelaide getting on the front foot and refusing to accept that penalty, or maybe a Vic team found having done it as well. Maybe both, if Crows dobbed in that Vic team.
