Sorry, I meant more in line with the hardline stance the AFL said would happen.

I think the punishment is entirely adequate. Although, Hart probably got unders.

Aren't you forgetting the Western Bulldogs premiership win was the greatest in AFL history and Murphy was the most unlucky player in AFL history as a result?

I’m more inclined to believe that we’ve come back at them with proof that other clubs have breached too and the AFL dont want to open that can of worms...

I honestly believe the AFL has unearthed other clubs that haven't played strictly to the rules and want that kept from the media and public otherwise we would likely have been hit harder. I reckon our club might have used that as a defence somehow.

Honestly, one game suspended for each player is too light. Not sure what I'd say is appropriate, perhaps a handful of games actual suspension served, or fine the players. Six week ban for Hart feels about right s the guy in charge out there.

Surely there have been other clubs guilty of the same or similar, which has weighed into the decision - Were we just dumb/unlucky enough to get caught and reported to a Melbourne journalist when others were doing the same? The AFL certainly likes to just sweep things under the rug, given the opportunity...

Either that or given our recent history the AFL figured we would stuff up again in the not so distant future anyway, and they could give us a proper whack then.

That's because it's has always been a minor breach of the AFL's "fairness" training COVID-19 policy, none of these players (except Doedee who is returning from a serious ACL and Murphy) were in the best 22 so what benefit did the club "gain"? What Murphy is pissed off is the stupid AFL tried to be seen as community leader during the COVID-19 pandemic and set a stupid expectation that they will make an "example" of the Crows so everyone expected a harsh penalty, well, they didn't even break any COVID-19 rule in SA and the players that supposedly got an "advantage" from the training haven't cemented in the best 22 (Doedee is coming back from a serious ACL and Murphy).
