Potential training breach?

Is this the same stance you’ll have next week when all clubs can train in groups of 10? They would be more heavily monitored for symptoms than anyone in the general public. If one is asymptomatic then they would’ve eventually passed it onto someone anyway.
The 14 days won’t be up by then, what it means is we didn’t get them back soon enough.
I really don’t think self isolation means you to catch up with your self isolation mates if you feel like it.
Edit have just seen above, not sure why they get special dispensation, imagine the average Joe getting permission for this?

Funny part is the AFL can't send anyone over to investigate .. they'll have to take the clubs word on it :)

So,they did nothing wrong in relation to public health, and the only rules they broke were those imposed on the interstate clubs to keep things fair for the Victorian teams in isolation?

More tidbits this morning.

- Ben Hart was the assistant up there (lol)
- Permission for the quarantine hub was granted by AFL and SAPOL.
- Did running session in pairs
- Then broke up into 2 groups of 8 for skills.

Someone is blaming the lack of clarity in rules.

FFS, sack Hart!

Yes, but the rules are there. Just observe them. The AFL are the controlling body for footy, observe their requirements, is it too much to understand.

Oh and sack Hart!

Lol Hart

How Hart kept his role ahead of Mattner is another AFC **** up

Well we can write Kelly off, he is the same as the rest of the spineless AFC hierarchy.

There is a pretty easy come back to this, the players are mathematicians they're footballers, if a club thinks a 15 minute kick to kick gives us an unfair andvantage then they must be pretty ordinary team to start with.

Kill it off and move on, none of this grovelling bullshit.

Sure - but one is a law that, if they mess up and break it, could hold back players re entering SA and could mean serious fines. The other is a temporary rule the AFL put in place ON TOP of the laws, to keep things fair for Victorian clubs.

Sounds like we made a mistake, while still actually following the state laws. Anything more than a reprimand and a slap with a lettuce leaf would be a massive overreaction by the AFL.

Fagan on 5AA admits we clearly broke AFL protocols, despite the group having clear guidelines.
We've seen throughout the lockdown that footballers are stupid. Ours were stupid enough to be caught.

So 2 groups of 8.

No laws broken but an AFL directive. I'm still interested to know how people are equating this to a gross breach of public health.
If that’s the case it’s not. Although query the self isolation aspect.

At best it’s really dumb - and the club doesn’t have a lot of capital left in that regard.

Who would look at our club and say yep they’re a professional well run club anymore ?

What happens when you leave an incompetent coach with a group of young men who have to hang on his every word.

I'm not convinced it was an "honest mistake"

It's been plastered all over the AFL media that training in groups larger than 2 isn't allowed. It'd be almost impossible not to know
So have lockdown rules. Yet some people still seemed to be confused, particularly when there is different messaging coming from the Feds as well as each of the states and territories. The AFL just added another layer
