I was at the Melbourne concert last night, which absolutely went off.
My Happiness and These Days in particular. Everyone who have not seen this band live, do yourself a favour and find a ticket for one of the remaining farewell concerts. Well worth admission.

I, for one, am definitely gonna miss this band - they have provided 20 years of quality Australian rock music. One of the best bands Australia has produced IMO.

I was there with a few mates and we all thought it was pretty average. The mised some of there best songs to play some of the crappy slow songs. The concert started to slow aswell. Have seen them 4 times now and that was the 3rd best show of them i've seen. 6/10.

Saw them live a couple of years ago. I found them a bit boring as they don't really have much variety in songs. The whole concert could have been an hour long song for someone who'd never heard of them.

Powderfinger are the Aussie KOL type of band.
Started off with good songs, then released albums that sold heaps with OK songs, then became w***ers.
Shouldve given up after writing "The Day You Come" because nothing got better than that for them, nothing beat that song or its social impact.

Some interesting comments posted, but hey each to their own.

I went to the Adelaide concert last night at Memorial Drive and thought it was really good. After seeing them at the BDO earlier this year I left a little bit dissapointed with them but they more than made up for it last night. With grandstands each side of the stage it gave the outdoor arena a real indoor feel.

The boys were fantastic in Hobart on Monday night. Even Jet, who I have seen before and was disappointed by, were tighter than a fish's arse and put on a good one.

Yves Klein Blue go alright too. Great night all round.:thumbsu:

They're my favourite Aussie Rock band.

They peaked and died off after they got too rich and famous. They didn't go on with it in a big way. Bernard should never have gone solo :(

Vulture Street was the last great album and Oddysey #5 is their best work.

I used to love these guys....until they started making songs specifically for commercial radio. Oddesy number five was their last good album. Got several gigs coming up that are better than this so not worth wasting money on a set list likely containing all their popular radio songs. Then Jet has to be the worst Australian band I have seen live. I liked their albums, but live they are just terrible.

Well when you make sweeping statements like that, you best back it up and present your list of best Australian bands so we can pull your choices apart o' self appointed music police.

It's an opinion dude, don't be so intimidated. If I really did have policing powers, this band would have been banned years ago. Horrible tripe.

Yep thats up there with the worst.
'Tomorrow' lyrics were equally as bad by the same band. Mind you they were just reaching puberty at the time.

As for the 'Sunsets' sledge, that would a isolated section of a song called the chorus would it not. Most songs consist of a repetitive catchy chorus designed to hook the listener and repeated numerous times.

Hardly a good example of poor songwriting.

Is it just me or does Tomorrow sound like Plush by Stone Temple Pilots?

Was at the Perth show last night and they were awesome.

They certainly were! Smokin' in fact.

Not one of my favourite bands, haven't been a big fan since 'Internationalist' but I am a music lover and know when there is something special going on.

'Passenger' will def make it to the doco and 'Pick you up' just took me back to my teens.

...and in true Bigfooty fashion who did I happen to stand next to during the concert, the big Pav. Bout ten meters from stage,to the right. So many people were just staring, pointing and whispering to each other. It must really suck to be a footy player sometimes.
