You would have to be a complete & total moron if you didnt spare a thought to the possiblity of an all South Australian Grand Final in this season 2001?
Port are showing all the signs of a very real finals contender and The Crows have won 5 of their last 6 convincingly and against sides that were previously thought to be finals contenders. Adelaide has not been able to name a full side due to injuries since as far back as Blights last year in 99, they now have at their disposal a full list and the benefits can be clearly seen. The Crows had a good win at the Gabba after winning a final 1/4 shootout against Brisso last week then this week Brisbane defeat Essendon in good style ?? Port thumped the Squarks today and that win should elevate them to 2nd spot. The Crows have a dream run if you consider the second 1/2 of their home & away season with plenty of home games & honestly the only side that I can see giving them a real workout are of course Flower Power?? The ULTIMATE PAYBACK for pinching the Grand Prix? CROWS v POWER at the G - *2001 Grand Final* Or would it be held at Footy Pk? Probably if not for the lack of seating? Might be worth getting a coupla hundred on with the bookies now as the odds are certain to shorten as each week passes???

Yes i like to drink (most people do), and yes i like metal music (some people like that as well), yet you assume im an alcoholic with no IQ. When the fact is more likely to be ive got a better job than you, had a better education and have a higher IQ.

I passed Year 12, with ease. Im now in tertiary education, with 2 months to go. After that i have a choice of which direction id like to go, each makes more money per hour than you probably make in a few days work. In fact the course im doing probably costs more money than you would make in about 3 years. I have a higher than average IQ (126) and have many many friends. I do not have long hair that hasnt been washed in weeks, i do have a house, that i live in.

I can't see these two sides playing each other in this years grand final. But if by some chance they did, would the AFL have the game at Football park? As far as I understand it, they are meant to play grand finals at the G for thirty something more years. Would they still play it their?

10 out of the 16 teams are Victorian you absolute tool - it would be embarassing to Victoria if there weren't 3 teams in the top 5! For SA to have 2/16 teams in the comp, and to have both of them in the top 5, isn't bad.

Just for arguments sake then Go South.....

For both Adelaide sides to make the Grand Final this year you have to consider to inevitable :

1. Port Adelaide would have to finish in the top 2 to be guaranteed a home final first up. If they do that, then maybe they MIGHT make the GF.

2. Adelaide - sure going well at the moment. Can't see them getting a home fianl unless they finish 5th or 6th. If they happen to sneak in, then win their first final, they would eventually have to play interstate, or against Port in SA in which case, one has to lose.

Either way, Adelaide at best would have to play Essendon in the Preliminary final at the MCG. Would you give them any chance of knocking them of in front of a parochial Victoria crowd ??

I think that the general concensus is that Essendon will make it and play against either Carlton, Hawthorn, and Port ( in that order ) given that these sides will probably finish in the top four.

There's my argument, let's see your theory on how the Crows will play Port in the Grand Final this year !!
