Frankly, this is a joke. Nowhere near enough faith is shown in him. I didn't get to see the Hawthorn game but the stats suggest that he had a shocker. However, I thought he played very well against Melbourne and was virtually the only Richmond player to stand up while the side was getting towelled against Fremantle.

There are more then a few overrated players in the side who deserve to be dropped more then Poyas.

He played as a key forward against Hawthorn and had no impact whatsoever. This was due as a direcl result of very poor delivery into the forward line. That he didn't play well isn't really his fault.

Remember, you can have Richo, Otto, Carey, Ablett, Lockett, Dunstall, Wade and Conventry all together in your foward line but they are all useless if the midfield don't kick the ball to them!

The only way I can rationalise the dropping of Poyas is that they are still persisting with a youth rotation policy and his number was up.

This means though, that exciting young players are being held back at the expense of underperforming seniors.

This just doesn't make sense!

Poyas is an easy target. It takes guts to drop underperforming seniors. Poyas won the Listen? medal last year and has never been given a fair go to see if he can cut the mustard in the ones.
Looks like we are gonna have to endure a few more drubbings before they realise that we should be rebuilding our team around our promising young blokes.

i admit im puzzled at the dropping of poyas.the only and this is a pretty shallow reason is the side cant have the same types in the same side.hudson,pettifer,poyas,houlihan.
there are a few senior players who wont be looking into ezra,s eyes this weekend i feel.
cheers!

Knights, Campbell and Cameron better play absolute blinders tomorrow otherwise Spud may have to make a public apology to Poyas.

I saw Poyas play today against the Tassie Devils and he was very impressive ,Kicked 3 goals? provided himself as a good target up forward and played hard around the contaested ball.My only criticism of him was his ability to take a stong mark, this was also evident in his limited gametime against the Hawkes last week.I think he will be sending a message to people like Rogers and co,as he was very quiet except for a 5 to 10 min period in the 3rd quarter.

cheers MY who played well for coburg?
cheers!
The Coburg Tigers had a very solid win over the Tassie Devils
19.15.129 to 12.7.79.
Some of the better players

Poyas as previously stated

De Pasquallia?(not sure how its spelt) good 4 quarter effort contender for one of the best on ground.

Mcgrath played well kicked a few goals 3 i think and if you thought last weeks mark was great ,mark of the year this week, whooh.

Hyde and Hart were very sevicable.

Dunc played 4 very good quarters and probably will get selected for the seniors next week. Was hard at the ball and was really solid in his tackling, looked good won't please diggler:D

Krakoeur did he's usual magic around the goal also kicked a few.

Rogers was pretty quiet, limited impact on the game or his chances for selection, Poyas and Krakoeur should get selected ahead of him, well i hope so.

Zizzzlar okay for maybe 3 quarters faded out a little in the last.

Thats all i can think of off the top of my head i'll watch the replay later on and make a more detailed summary.

cheers MY great summary.
mcgrath is an interesting one.when he was picked up the comment made was he,s a real jack in the box. the last 2 weeks seems to have vindicated this.
cheers!

The dropping of Poyas is an absolute joke. Why play Pettifer? He has not shown anything in previous games, is too short and has no physique. Poyas was in our best players 2 weeks ago, 1 bad game & hes gone. He has a physique, (unlike many blokes at our club), that most guys would be proud of and is strong. Its no wonder our youngsters arent developing as fast as we like, because the coach has no faith in them.
All I can say is if we start losing more games, Frawley needs to be seriously looked at. Im starting to have some doubts about him. His record at our club, is no better than Geishen's. And at least when Gieschen was coach, we were competitive in a blockbuster. Obviosly he overates the older/ experienced players.
Is say Danny, if you keep persisting with your blind faith in our older players, our club will go backwards very fast.
