Happy to assune you're right and that Chom should play forward. Presumably, we couldn't play Nick, Jack and Cam there as well, at the same time. Who do you reckon would be the weakest link then? Cam?
Larkey, Chom and Darling can co exist so long as each know and stick to their roles and the same goes for Cam and Curtis...but if all fly at the contest then we really need to seriously question their footy IQ!!.

Since we love kicking down the line or to a contest, IF you said Chom leads down one wing and Darling the other with Larkey staying inside fifty, we suddenly spread the defense rather than telegraphing our usual kick to a contest that has our two KPF in that contest...plus the ruckman.

Weakest link as in a forwad or working defensively? In just two praccy games we've seen how the ball is going to Darling and Larkey leaving Cam to roam and same with Curtis...if the bloody midfielders lowered their eyes sometimes, they might spot them!! Defensively they have to all have work harder but when the oppo spreads, it's not because the forwards can't keep it locked in, it's the two wingers, 3 centre bounce players and the ruck that drift so far down that they leave the fat side open.

Rewatched the game

Same old problems

1: dominate clearance but never seem to take advantage of it on the scoreboard

2: lack of connection between mids and forwards on transition. Dees made it look simple. We make easy open transitions look hard as soon as we get near fifty

3: defend well and then simple mistakes lead to goals

4: no real speed up forward

5: poor skills

It’s the same list of problems time after time. Year after year.

They need to check the club for a gas leak

Was that actually the first time Chom, Logue and Corr played together? That's crazy.
I think so, this is why some patience is still needed. Even with talent you have them + Daniel that have for the most part never played as a group. They do need games together as a settled team.

Our oldest and most mature line on the field and they were embarrassed by a second tier forward line.

Capitalising when we are in control of the game is a stand out point.

Hoping that we can improve on this area and some of the older head additions can get shit under control when we panic.

Is this something that can only be improved with in-game experience?
