Happy to have made my debut. Kept TFLUA-Tiger off the scoresheet and ran hard forward all day. Pity we didn't bring home the chocolates.

I put you on a soft opponent for your first game. You'll get a bigger challenge next outing.;)
Ummm, might let you know that LLmoose was playing on me. The way the football field works, with the teams going different ways, means the R-HBF plays on the L-HFF.

FIRST-GAMER HAPPY WITH NEW ROLE

Recruited to The Mod Squad as a forward, debutante S "Thinks He's Daicos" J showed he had more strings to his bow after playing out the first practice match of the season at full back.

The exciting half-forward flanker, known for his creativity and flair in the junior ranks, was a revelation for the Mods in a 10 point loss to the Baghdad Bombers.

Played out in muddy conditions, S "Thinks He's Daicos" J stood with Bomber spearhead eddiesmith, only conceding one goal in the process.

Post game, S "Thinks He's Daicos" J was circumspect but optimistic about the Mods' chances for 2010.

"We went down today in a close one today, but there are a lot of new faces around the playing group, and we were keeping a few things up our sleeves."

He also maintained he was on good terms with Mod Squad stalwart and coach Fred, who named him at full back.

"I'm happy to play wherever I'm selected. If the team needs me down back, I'm more than willing to play a role there."

Baghdad trailed by a goal at three-quarter time but ran over The Mod Squad in the last quarter, winning 7.16.58 to 7.6.48.

Results dont matter at this time of year.. Good hit out early for the squad, new look backline is good to see, hopefully we will see everyone up and posting this season..

Good scratching match to shake out the cobwebs from Khan's training regime, ready for a big season... :thumbsu:

When you get the call to come down to the practice match 20 minutes before it starts you have to expect a bit of a struggle. Barely even got my boots on.

Plus the Mod Squad has its eyes on the bigger prize and will save its best for the regular season
