Practice Match Commentary Should Differ From In-Season Commentary

I have watched 3 of the practice games just gone.
Freo vs wc, Syd vs GWS, Bris vs Adel & the commentary for the Brisbane / Adelaide game was by far the best as the commentators just called the play.
At this early stage of the season with new players & sometimes dodgy camera work, we as fans would like to know who is involved in the play.
The last thing I want to hear is someone interviewed during the play. Just tell me who has the ball.
I have this gripe each year.
Am I wrong here?
