We have a few new players yet to debut so it will be good to see them in action.

Looking forward to it. Gonna go jump on the exercise bike now in preparation. Need to burn off those last couple of free Meatball Subs from Subway. Red Bull cans are in hand which will be followed by some Carlton Draughts. Gotta keep the sponsers happy.

Still looking for our first pre-season win against the competition. We are improving with every game though, and with the influx of new talent, time to gel as a team is needed. Let's keep taking those small steps forward.

Wouldn't worry too much about losing pre-season games Joe. Like you said a lot of new players and it will take us a few games to gel. We will be cherry ripe come round one.

Playing the roys here though should be a good chance to chalk up a win.

The only criticism I could possibly make is that we havent put in a 4 quarter effort yet. We've been close in all of our matches, but its just one quarter that has ended up costing us a game.

And its nothing to do with the enthusiasm either. In fact our best players have all been the new blokes coming through. Nobody could fault CrowGirl74, Surkin, Age of SMD, Demon Revival and TelkoTheGreat among others. Its basically us older blokes who have to get our act together, but we'll be right once we get a couple of matches in the legs.

Lets go Dees, make this one count!

Agree with you on that point TG - One quarter is always letting us down. We seem to kick 5 goals in the first, none in the second, 3 in the third and 5 in the fourth or something along those lines.

Maybe we are not having enough refreshments throughout the game? I have noticed the bar fridge is getting pretty full lately... its a worry.
