its like having Christmas come early or something.
For the first time in living memory there will be a pre-season game at the SCG this Saturday.
And its against the team we all love to hate - Caaarrrlllton !
This is good - for us it gives us a chance to get a home ground run under our belt before Round 1 and for the Blues it will be a chance to acquaint themselves with a footy oval that they don't know anything about and will have to play on during the season proper.
Don't forget Carlton are the main beneficiaries of the AFLs unfair draw, so to get them up here in Sydney is a real rarity - the last time they came up was in 1997, yep, FOUR BLOODY YEARS AGO - and they got belted too.
Now they will be up twice this year (with maybe a final to come in Sep ?) so it will be a great chance to reinforce it to these Navy Blue w***ers that they are crap when they hit the road and they are only a 'power club' thanks to a hopelessly unfair draw and an equally unfair home ground advantage (Optus Oval)
Lets all get down to the SCG this Saturday and check out the new facilities, soak up a bit of late summer sun and cheer on the Bloods !
