It's the second sign of insanity, you know!

The first is barracking for Collingwood.

joey,

it was a great game with most players doing their bit. boomer and sav kicked 7 goals between them, brady rawlings kept peter bell to 2 kicks and he was benched in the 2nd half. petrie, harris and both lindsay and dylan smith were great too, Shannon watt kept modra goaless, so he could be the answer whilst micky is out.

i also had the pleasure of meeting shinners, malibu, spidey and darky today. they seem like really nice people and it was great to put a name to a face.

Hope this helps
Paul

Spidey,

yeah shinners certainly seemed to be on the ricky bandwagon yesterday didn't he!

lol

it really depends who the club wants to pick whether they go for ricky or whether they go for daniel harris and dylan smith.

Hope he makes it
Paul

Yesterday's game was a good run for a lot of our fringe players, as so many of the regulars were out. We had Watt, Colbert, Blakey, Makepeace, Pickett and Archer on the backline. The ball was hardly down there, but when it was, our guys were in control. Colbert, Pickett and Archer all had a run on the bench in the second half to give the likes of Lasscock, Cochrane, CLayton etc.. a run. Watt, was the most impressive, doing the job on Modra.

Our mid-field, well we had the new guys in there (mixture of the rookies and recruits). The likes of Harris, Smith, Rawlings, Petrie, Sinclair continue to improve. Was really impressed with Burton - don't think he has ever taken so many marks in one game, and he kicked a few goals as well. Ricky O also showed that he could be a valuable asset this year.

Our forward line worked well with Rocca, L Smith, Harvey, Kingy and whoever else was up there.

Lange, Clayton, Cochrane, Lasscock, S Motlop didn't get much of a run.

All up, it was good to see the lesser likes play, and a win is a win - even if there was no opposition as Freo were pathetic on the day.

You can rest easy Spidey....according to the papers, Pagan was very happy with Ricky's performance and he came out of the match with no injuries.

As for the Dish, he did well, got his hand on the ball a few times, but Burton was the best ruckman on the ground.

Also, Darky, can you please re-confirm that you said that it was COCHRANE who pinched the ball off the boot of a Freo player, thus saving an almost certain goal.

Um yes Shinners, Cochrane (of all people) performed a magnificent steal off a Freo boot, saved an almost certain goal, evaded a tackle then disposed of the ball with a centimetre-perfect handball

before cannoning into Drew Petrie and knocking the stuffing out of the big fella. Must have thought he was at a Greek wedding

Darky

Can you also confirm that the Lions players, who according to some Briswhine regulars were destined to take the 2001 premiership trophy to Brisvegas, would now according to the very same people struggle to get a game with the Pauline Hanson All-Stars Under 13's reserves team.

Hmmm, actually, I'm surprised that the Briswhiners haven't blamed Mick Martyn yet

Amid the sound of screeching brakes, the bandwagon grinds to a halt.
The driver yells out "ok, who broke the glass on the emergency alarm?".
A man, tucking a maroon and yellow scarf into his handbag, walks forward to the driver. He looks out the wagon's window, and sees the intersection - the corner of streets Doom and Gloom.
"Ah yes", he says, "this is my stop", as he alights from the wagon and walks off into the distance.

Thanks for the comments.

Seems like we are playing well.

The team for the March 30 will be interesting with some of the fringe players putting their hands up yesterday?

Joey

It was a good performance by the Roo players.
In the first quater we played like we did against Port last week - we were a bit sloppy. From half way through the second quarter until the end we looked great. In the final quater we held the dockers from scoring anything - we looked awesome.
I know it's only a practice match, but I'm really excited about our team list.
