How about Devonport vs Latrobe?

The Latrobe Facebook page had said that Devonport dominated the first half, with the Demons fighting back in the second half. No actual scores have been posted, that's all I am aware of from that game.

Roos beat North Launie by 10+ goals at Aurora on Saturday.

They looked silky and slick with their skills beating the bombers in all areas of the ground.

Watch out Aker

I think 40 points was the margin.. but yeah the roos moved the ball very well.

Glenorchy Colts lost to North Hobart colts. Don't know how much, think it was a bit.

Glenorchy and Clarence have a season opener on April 2nd at 6;30 pm

round 1 doesnt start until the 8th though.

Hobart beat South up at Youngtown by about 40 points from what I’m told it should have been by a bit more although South were a bit inaccurate in front of goal. There was only a senior game played and no colts. Hobart had Cassidy and their mariners out and I’m not too sure if South were at full strength or not but Mitch Thorpe did play. Liam Azzopardi kicked 9 for Hobart which is a good sign.

Lauderdale beat Devonport by around 20 - 25 goals.

Devonport are in for a very, very long season.:(
cant understand how club was runner up and so bad the next 2011 year if that right, think they would be able to build on what they had and got stronger,,,,what went wrong

Huge balls up with the coach re-appiointment, he left, led to a mass player revolt, wouldve lost 20 plus players. Club nearly became insolvent in december, needed a cash injection to stay in the comp. Just about everything went wrong, but I hope they can bounce back, we need 2 strong teams on the coast.

Think it was around 50 pts in the end and Hobart took off about 4/5 senior players in back end of 3rd and start of final quarter. Also were missing about 6-8 what you would imagine were senior 18 players including Cassidy.Thorpe was terrible apparently, especially after having a minor altercation with Briggs early inthe game, came off 2nd best and sulked off to the forward line to hide.

Watched Hobart train last night, first night on their home ground, still no goal posts up. They ran for about 1 hour and 20 mins, started running the grandstands for 25 minutes then did some shuttle running then a full field drill that had a bit of agility stuff in it, then they did some game based stoppage work around the ground then Brer had them do some more shuttle running stuff, I left when the lights went out and they were still running, approx 35 on the track and Mariners there watching as well. Apparently 5/6 didn't front at recovery Sunday morning so whole squad got belted for it? Didn't hear a single person whinge though and they seemed to be enjoying the session, this is a different team to last year that is for sure, appear much better in every area and have some strong bodies out there!

If you are a tiger supporter I would encourage you to get up there and support them and watch out for this Azzopardi kid, as big as Cassidy and moves live a gazelle, very quick ad crashes packs I am told, also have a real nuggety onballer whom I am told is from up north, looks a real hard nut!

Good to hear that Brer won't be walked over. I reckon he is the ideal coach to lead the tigers through their next period of time. Good old fashion values is what's required and Brer is certainly the person to ensure that these are adhered to

I heard Mitch Thorp kicked about 2.8, if that is correct then that is not a poor game....poor kicking maybe, but he must have got near it at some stage!!!

Played on a 17 yr old colts player for most of the game, once the season starts would probably get Clark or Horton so would have been even tougher to get a kick, wouldn't chase and led to pockets for easy kicks, apparently tried to rough up his opponents and didn't like the fact that the Hobart boys can handle themselves a bit more than he thought, he will get better but still has same giant ego he left with and the same one that got him cut:(

I was told South have some terrific kids though and judging by yesterday's paper they have a lot of Mariners so their season may improve after June?
